Dang one biker down and four cagers down... PHOENIX - Five people have been hospitalized after a motorized bike vs. car crash in north Phoenix. It happened just before 8 p.m. at the intersection of 21st Ave and Bell Road. A car carrying a family of four was heading eastbound on Bell when a moped crossed in front and was struck. Phoenix Fire says the rider landed on the hood and rode for about 100 yards until the car crashed into a short brick wall, and the rider was thrown to the ground. The 49-year-old rider suffered life-threatening injuries. He was transported to a local hospital. A 32-year-old man, 26-year-old woman, 8-year-old child and 5-year-old child suffered serious injuries. Police are investigating to see who was at fault. 5 Hospitalized After Car, Moped Collide
