Truly sad, as it's only going to get worse. As mentioned, as the weather gets better coming out of the non-riding winter months, we see riders who have become rusty with their mental and physical skills since operating a motorcycle becomes a diminishing skill unless you ride everyday or week. You also have the beginning riders taking the streets for the first time too. The months of March and April expereinces the highest # of crashes.

That's why it's not a bad idea for those who have taken the winter off from riding to take a one day refresher course. Rider's spend thousands of dollars on their bike along with their gear, and 99% of them don't do anything to assure themselves that they are ready to hit the streets after a long lay off.

They just go out and ride jeopordizing their bike, gear and their lives.

+1 Wear all the gear all the time. No exceptions. Ride knowing 90% of cagers dont see you, the other 10% just dont care.
