What the hell? I just cant seem to fathom the mindset of some people that ride here. Its nice to have a helmet law here, but really, whats the point of even wearing your helmet when your in your wife beater, shorts and flippy floppys doing 70 down the road - usually with a passenger dressed alike? chicks especially on this one. If they are anything here like they are in denver, the ones who dont actually ride themselves are usually on the back of the bike trying to look all hot shit... do any of these people understand that sweat wipes off... road rash doesnt. That rash is gonna be real sexy. sorry, just a little rant here after seeing a bunch of idiot riders today all of them future organ donors in my opinion riding like jackasses and im paying 2x as much for insurance as I should be because of it. [/Rant] - Justin

And for some reason it's always the ones in wife-beaters or (and I've seen this in person) shirtless that are doing the wheelies and riding in between the lanes on the I-15. You never see someone geared up doing that... hmmm. I'm actually torn about the helmet law. Not because I want to ride helmet-less, but because I'm a proponent of natural selection. | Quote: Having had rash a few times... a little bit of sweat is FAR more pleasant... Sorry, these a-holes just irritate me. but I have noticed it is FAR more prevalent in NV than it was in Denver - and Colorado has no helmet laws. - Justin

To each his own... We can only help educate and inform people of the dangers of not riding in proper gear. It is THEIR personal choice and right to wear whatever they want...some people rather learn the hard way then prepare for what may or may not be around the next bend.. You can try to approach these people and educate them. But some people are just too hard headed, while others take the information in and reflect on it. Next thing you know, we see these guys in proper gear next time they come out. It all comes down to approaching the individual and letting them know that YOU are not comfortable riding with someone that is not properly geared. Let them ride ahead of you or simply ask them to not ride with you. They will eventually get the hint when no one wants to ride with them, usually.
