Fast-forward to 3:00.

And I know this is a video, but this seems like a better spot for this. Watch and learn.

That van rolled past right at the beginning of the video. Looks like they were on the hunt.

Another reason why I lock the back wheel and not the front... but either way, if they had one more person, a wheel lock wouldnt have done shiet.

Ouch! Not cool at all.

I never thought about using my disc lock on the rear disc instead of the front.

However, it may have slowed them down a touch, but all that probably would have happened is that the lock would have hit against the swingarm and they could have still dragged the rear tire (locked) and then lifted it to put it into the van. But, that might have delayed them enough for someone to see, so maybe I'll start locking my rear disc instead of my front from now on.

Not a bad idea, Arson. Something to think about anyway.

However, if someone wants your bike, they will find a way to get it. Most of the videos I've seen have 4 guys and they just slide two 2x4's through the rims, then pick it up and put it into the back of a van and they are gone. I've seen that from a couple of casino security videos. I'm just kind of amazed that they got it into a damn minivan that quick and that it fit! I'm used to seeing videos where they put it into a regular full size cargo type van. I've never seen them throw it into the back of a minivan through the side door.
