Arizona is trying to make their 15 mile stretch of the gorge a toll.

Ridiculous.

Just saw this a few mins ago on the news. I can understand where they're coming from. It's not like any Arizona residents use it. And all of the toll income will be used for maintaining that stretch.

And as a bonus, they'll cut down on the number of motorcycles doing Gorge runs.

Hmm not sure AZ can do that as the 15 Fwy is an international (federal) highway not a state or local road.

Several stats have had complete portions of interstates, or the "express" lanes of interstates as toll roads for over 20 years.

After all, my parents live in Ivins and that is my favorite track, I mean freeway portion on the rest of the boring ride up there.
