Cool thanks eric...i hit them up ....they said they would be able to help me if i grabbed one.... i think i might trade my 03 gsxr track bike for a cafe project..i was goin to make it a streetfighter but insurance cost more on the 750. i like them too arson..I'm.just learning how to work on bikes.i figure having a cafe would be a way for me to.learn without too many electronics....btw..i still owe you 5 bucks ...

Look for 70s Yamaha XS650s or Honda CB550 or 750s. The price range on them can be large depending on condition. I picked up a 79 XS650 off craigs back in Jan for 1k, running and pretty much complete. I went the bobber route instead of the cafe. The pics below are what it looked like when I bought it and how it sits now. Cafes or bobbers, both pretty easy to build if you have some mechanical inclination.

If you do this project, I'm sure a LOT of peeps on this forum will be able to contribute in one way or the other. Post up a new thread in Mechanical and Technical once you start!
