A highly trained real chef,(namely me) Is doing a BBQ on Sun., Mar 12th at 5:00PM I promise no snails or any gourmet shit like that. Lol. Just someTexas-style Beef Brisket, chicken, maybe home-made Brat Wurst, if I get off my lazy ass to make it,etc... Please let me know if you can make it atleast a week ahead so I can prepare enough food.

Gleno!!!! Your ass better be here!!! If any special requests are needed, within reason, please let me know ASAP. Come one, come all.

See Ya, Tom

The occasion is simple: To Eat BBQ

Where: 6339 Spring Meadow Dr. Directions Go west on Spring Mountain, turn left on Torrey Pines, and turn left on on Spring Meadow Dr. 4th house from the east end of the street on the right. When: 4-5ish Sun Mar 12th. What to bring: Beverages of your choice, and any side dish, whatever you would like. I will handle the entrees, Beef, chicken, sausages, etc... and some desserts. My idea was after you all get done riding at Red Rocks stop by and have some grub.

To Mr. Gleno, I'm sure you make a mean meatloaf, hamburger helper, etc.. but a direct challenge to myself concerning Texas BBQ??, (The Top Carnivore)... might be like me competing with you in the twisties. but if we get a good turn out a few more grills wouldn't hurt. I hope to see you all.

For starters....I am a Texan. Secondly.....I was just bustin' your ovaries. Thirdly.....I'll treat you to a home rubbed, marinated, apple smoked tri-tip, that'll have you turning in your apron. Ask the masses. It not new news. Or should I show you what ribs are REALLY about??

I'd be honored to come and sample some tough ass brisket at your place.

Ho-Made Brats OTOH......mmmmmmm. Ya got me on that one, and I love brats.

I know you were bro, I was just returning the favor.Lol.. but they are not ovaries, daz balls so you better step back and feel again
I'm sure since you are a Texan as am I when it comes to BBQ, (My uncle from Dallas schooled me)you can understand my scepticism when being challenged with BBQ. Since most of those challenges have come from people that think BBQ is basting the Possum they killed with their truck in vinegar and onion powder and then smoking it over the old furniture they found while mowing the back yard of their trailer park. So I would be truly honored if you wanted to bring a tri-tip or two over. My smoker can hold 3 full "Tender" slow-smoked briskets but I was going to make two, so their is room. Apple wood and Hickory, and mesquite charcoal are available

Ooooh sheeeyit. First he claims he's a cook....now it's just over the top claimin' Texas. What next?? Lemme guess....you invented BBQ??

BTW....that furniture I'm using for smoking was said to be oak at the garage sale I got it from. Does taste a little acrid. Maybe it was cedar.

Glad to hear it. That last post was referring to the other regions of our wonderful country that season their meat like they season their Collard Greens. lol. Just trying not to say BBQ from Dixie sucks, compared to the Lone Star State. P.S. I lived in Ft. Worth for half my childhood so I'll just claim a bit of Texas for myself and you can have all the dry counties.

I have an electric knife somewhere, but I usually use a butter knife for my brisket. If the electric isn't strong enough for your tri-tip, I got a Dewalt recipricating saw, circular saw, chain saw, or tile saw. If that's still not strong enough. We can hook one end of your tri-tip to a big tree and the other to the back of my 4x4 and hopefully 4 low will get er done.

Stationed at Carswell AFB for two years. My first wife is from Fawt Wurth. At least the BBQ is good there.

Ever go to Joe T. Garcia's in the Stockyard district? That Mexican food is definitely some slap yo mama material.

I was expecting something better than that from, "King Smart Ass", but you are probably correct. My high school sweetheart raced moto-x like I did, and was higher in her class than I was in mine. I was faster but I also crashed more.

Only if they're really large-diameter circles! Parking lot stuff is not my strong point.... hehe

Anything I know about riding, I probably learned from you.
And Donny.
And Eric.
And Josh.
And my lovely hubby!

I agree!! Parking lots suck... Not even 24 hrs. after I got my bike some DAC, (Dumb Ass Cager) knocked my bike over and caused almost $600 in damage. Luckily he fessed up and paid for the damage. Now I piss off the managers by parking on their side walks, instead of out in the open. Lol. I beleive I learned that lesson. Now hopefully Gleno can school me on the finer art of the twisties, so I don't get beat by a girl. Lol
