Ok guys...lets see what your favorite bike is. I am sure this will get pretty heate, as everyone says there bike is the best, and even has proof to back it. I am just interested on everyones points and thoughts. Any size engine. Before this gets too bad... Cycle World, Motor Cyclist, Road Racing World, and every other magazine I have read, has stated that yes one might be slower than another, but this year, with all the new bikes, we are talking hundreds of a second. They all claim that any ridder, unless top AMA racers (And even then its up to the ridder) will never be able to tell a difference in performance, and that you should pick a bike on feel, look, and personal favorite. Please dont fight about this...I just want to hear some good views before I make my pick. My situation has been delayed to March 10th, so I will not have my new bike for 2 more weeks... Help me make a good choice!

Shwell as far as I’m concerned buying a GSRX600 makes no sense at all. You can buy a 750 with a gruntier engine and only 5 lbs (2 kg) more that btw is insignificant. Both have identical looks (K5 Style) and the short muffler.

If you are getting ready for racing on the track and be in one specific category yes…a small percentage of the buyers… if you are buying the bike for your wife or wanna make a friendly transition is a good option too... The British Daytona 675 seems to be a nice option too but of course 636s and 675s are not in the 600cc category if that’s what you are looking for in a bike.

The best bike out there right now is the one that you like the most, you fit on the best and are the most confedent on.

| On paper,I think the R6 is the best new bike of '06. Throttle by wire technology does it for me.

For the street the old zx-636 will do, for the track that R6 is more tuned I read that has a sluggish power band till it hits the indicated 12K rpms. The 636 has more HP that the British 675. Actually DJ is thinking to buy a zook600 for his wife. Quote:

Ok, So we don’t go out of topic here… If your wife is not really good get a gsrx-600 or why not a Ninja 650 (http://www.bikeland.org/articles/650ninja_06.pdf) , if she is ok a zx-6r or better a zook 750 (I have a female friend that owned a 750 and she was ok with it) For you (since you are no a tall guy) the gsrx1000 still a god choice plus has a bar none engine. If thinking in ZX-10R must consider that position is not relaxed at all, the pegs are high since is more intended for racing this year. Honda is really biased for the road, even do this year they added ponies and shaved weight. The R1 this year has a higher redline and engine wise doesn’t have the punch of the rest. GSRX1000 cause ergos in your case otherwise… ZX-10R or CBR1000.

Simple, he is saying that might change his mind about the bikes he likes and he wants to know our opinion but please don’t fight over it…. But otherwise he’ll enjoy the fight as well. ![]() I’m saying to buy a zook600 or a ninja 650 because I know you like the zook600 and don’t want the bike compared to a ninja 650 that’s not a true sportbike. Of course you need a way to get back in to the topic and I’m helping you now! ![]() Simple, no? Don’t worry, just play along LMAO
