Hey all, I was wondering where you can get that silver heat tape that comes on the inside of the plastics when you buy the bikes new?? What's it called? Is it just called heat resistant tape or is there another name for it or something? I need to put some on the inside of my lower race plastics because I can see where my exhaust started burning through them. I'd rather catch it now and put some of that tape on there in hopes to prevent further injury to the plastics. Thanks...

I've tried that on some of the hoses close to the headers & it just peels off

The bottom photo is what I'm lookin' for. I don't want to put it on the headers or actual exhaust. I'm planning on putting the tape on the actual track plastic itself in hopes to reduce the heat going through the plastics. Basically I don't really want to burn a hole through the plastics and I can't move the exhaust, so I figured I'd try that type of stuff in hopes that it works. Maybe I'll cruise into Cycle Gear or somewhere around here to get some. I really don't want to order it. I was hoping someone might know if a local shop has some on their shelves.
