I'm not sure when he adopted the nickname Gleno, but it seemed to stick.Glen (as I've known him by for lo these many years) used to piss off (regularly) the cop and family that lived 2 houses down from us.The cop,Ken,swore that when Glen turned 18 he was gonna whip his ass.Not daunted by threats,Glen continued his plight.Glen taught me to ride on his first bike.A '75 honda cb350.Ugliest damn thing you ever saw.But he had a custom kickstand so it was the shit!!He ran out of gas one night about 4 miles from the house and called Dad for help.Dad was getting ready for bed.4am came early for the old man so Glen pushed his sled home.Me being the thinker(haha)knowing how cold it was outside, went to Glens room and turned on his electric blanket.I know what you're saying,(aw, ain't that sweet).when Glen got the bike in the yard and himself in the house,he thanked me for thinking of him but it was hotter than equadorian cooter in there. When I bought my old honda 305 scambler(another ugly one,but I thought it was cool because of the vintage.'68 year model)He included me in a few rides. Some with ,oh,4 or 5 riders. Then he got his first beemer. That black 750 that he'd never part with for reasons unknown to me.But he loved it and swore by it.Said he copped more tail on it than the 350 ever produced. He was known to stretch things just a little,so I let him have his fantasy. He would balk at me reminding me that the only tail I ever picked up on my bike,I married!Hate to admit it,but he was right. My bike lasted just less than my marriage.I threw a rod in the bike and some else threw one in her. As timing would have it,he went to jail the same day I left for Army boot camp.He said he was going to Camp Snoopy and I was going to Club Fed.We wrote back and forth while we were both locked down. When he got released,he hooked up with his beautiful bride and ,well, the rest is history. Enough rambling for now. It helps to talk about my broham.I miss him terribly.

Roy,
That was a great story. Such a little trouble maker he was. I've only known Gleno for the last 5 years while living here in Vegas and well you know, he wasn't much for talking about the past. I knew he had a little brother from him telling me but had no idea about 4 sisters, let alone twin sisters. He has such a big and wonderful family. I'm loving the fact that you are on here talking about his early years. Camp Snoopy , he could turn anything into something pleasant huh? What an outlook on life he had. I know it is helping you, and believe me when I tell you, hearing new tales about him, will help the rest of us to cope as well. Thank you for letting us into a part of his life that we never got the chance to know. Please keep these great stories going. It brought a smile to my face which hasn't been so easy now a days.
