This does not mean everyone run out to go see her. She does not want any visitors right now.

She cannot speak due to a tracheotomy she received. She was in very high spirits.
So lets all wish her a quick recovery.

The details as i understand them are as follows.
Broken arm
Collapsed Lungs
Broken Ribs
Broken Pelvis
Some minor issues with her spine.

If anyone would like to send a message for me to read to shell when I visit please PM it to me.

I will let everyone know when she can receive gifts and/or visitors.

Shellie, we haven't met, but I know what it's like being laid up in the hospital. I hope you get well soon. I figure someone is probably filling you in about all the peeps out here who are pulling for you. Add one more to the list of folks who are keeping you in their thoughts and prayers.

Get well soon.

I personaly gave her a huge hug from everyone here. Every day she is doing better and better. Shell appreciates all the well wishes from everyone here, and so do I. It has been rough and still a long road to go before she is even able to come home. Seeing all this on here makes it just that much easier to bear. Thank you all again.

Oh yeah, Her family is coming in from out of town and will be here all next week. So Shell wont be having many outside visitors for the time being. Thank you everyone for understanding. The week after, visits may be possible but of course will have to wait till then to see.

I know its been awhile for an update, but things havent changed in a while. Shell is at home now but still in a hospital bed. The pelvis is still pinned and caged and very painful for her. The broken arm is also causing some pain and she still has her neck brace on. There will undoubtedly still be more operations in her future. Overall she is in pretty good spirits.... concidering.
Hopefully she can start physical therapy soon and learn to start walking again.

Update: Surgery today! It went well, very well. She even dropped a few pounds, although it was all in titanium and stainless steel. The doctor threw her a bonus too. The cervical collar is off, at least for the time being.

Now for the long road of physical therapy. At least she was lucky enough to have the opportunity to walk again.
Best wishes to a speedy recovery Shell!!!

Cool. Glad to hear she's doing better.

Now you have to take the hardware and make something cool out of it. Like the necklace I made out of Leslie's plates/screws out of her neck.

Up till today she didnt have dr's appoval to attempt any walking, she was 100% non-load bearing for her pelvis. Up until 3 weeks ago she was confined to bed and only had been in a wheel chair a couple times. Still lots of hard work to go, but she'll get there. A walker will be coming in the very near future.

thanks everyone for the well wishes. Its been a hard long road, but I will make it. I appreciate you all more than you can ever know.
I feel like it was Gleno all over again. Some idiot pulled out in front of me and all they got was a tix for failure to yield.
Despite the negativeness that has gone on in the past between us all, we are all in the same boat and we need to step up and fight for our rights as motorcycle ridersl. There should never be a time like this again where someone can take a life and be slapped on the back of the hand with a ridiculous ticket.

The way I see it, we need to come together and make a difference. I know you all very well, and you know me. You know that I am more than willing to put in the effort necessary to make a difference. Lets do this, lets get with Pat and make a difference. I was very lucky to have survived what happened to me. Gleno was not. And with both of our stories we can make a difference.
Please dont disappear, this is what we are all about. Lets get together and make a difference, I know we can do it. If it saves just one life, its worth it.

If anyone wants to know the details on what happened in my accendent, please pm me. I dont want to put it in the public forum due to legal issues, but once you hear what happened, it will make you sick to your stomach, I guarantee it.

No matter what happened in the past, I still care a great deal for all of you, and for those we have lost and if we as a group can make a difference, its worth it.

Love you all,

Shell
