Normally my lil rides to and from work are uneventful.... Today.....well, today a car decided to drive in the left hand turn lane from the opposite side of the road. I was already in the lane, slowing to make my left. There was someone to my right, ahead of me, and aside me going the opposite direction. The car ahead of me had enough room to quazi merge ahead of the person on my right. It was slow motion...just me and this bluish grey dodge car face to face... and for a few seconds...I imagined being just under the surface of water watching a shark silently launch right towards me. I couldn't go right with the cars beside me and couldnt afford to go left into the opposite lane for fear of other traffic and/or if the dodge corrected itself. Just as the car on my left passed the dodge swerved and I shot between him and the cars beside me. Then I remembered to breathe.

Good job not becoming a hood ornament or a statistic. Good to hear the only damage you may have suffered was in your shorts. Will have to sacrifice a shot to the motorcycle gods tonight.

| Dood, I'd donate to that cause. Want something permanent though that the asswipe can't remove at his next stop.

lol Always here people talk about knockin off mirrors and whatnot, never considered something like a mag or sticker. Funny, have had other less close calls where I consider how Im going to land... this time, I didn't even consider it...yet it was so perfectly real. Leaving the Palms later tonight, I had a green light to go left....but for some reason this jackass decides to also make a left turn....from my right...on a red light. I couldn't find the horn, but I heard Rone yell, "Asshole!" or something to that effect behind me. So since Im still on two wheels and subsequently...two feet....thanks for the jack...could use some myself after today ;O

Glad you made it home ok. Hate to see you ruin those tats. After riding a while, you'll start to be on the constant look-out for escape routes. You'll think about things like, "if this guy behind me doesn't stop, can I fit between those two cars in front of me?".
