Hello everyone. Most of you may have heard about the fatality involving a motorcyclist last Thursday on US 95 North. His name was Dan "Double D" Jarosz, and he was an MSF instructor out at the community college, and also a HD Rider's Edge instructor, and worked for LVHD. Some of you may have had him as an instructor, and I'm passing along this info. as a courtesy. His services are tomorrow, Thursday 9/27 at the Valley Funeral Home, 3319 Raymert Dr. (Desert Inn & Sandhill). Doors open to the public at 3:30pm, and mass is at 4:30 pm. There will be an en mass ride over to the servic from Las Vegas Harley-Davidson's main store at 2605 S. Eastern at 4:15 pm. I knew Double D well, thought some of you might have too. He was a great guy. Thanks for your time.

Thanks for posting this, Sheri. Which campus did he teach at? I've taken classes at Cheyenne and Charleston, so I may have met him. RIP.

I had him as a teacher at the cheyenne campus. I am so mad at myself for not looking at the site yesterday. I missed the service. It just breaks my heart to know that another great man with the wilingness to teach us how to be safe, pays the price. R.I.P. Dan Last edited by FLEX; 09-27-2007 at 06:53 PM. | |

He taught at a lot of places. If you've ever met DD, you'd never forget him that's for sure. If it weren't for him, I probably wouldn't be riding today. He was truly a gracious person, fine friend, and great instructor. He will be truly be missed by many. At least we have an "Instructor Angel" riding with us to watch over us now, like I'm sure Gleno is to a lot of you too. |

I always hate to hear of a M/C death. It is even worse when someone like DD falls. RIP
