I Ride: a jet
Picked up a new laptop last night

Sitting here on the patio, got the waterfall on the pool going, and watching the sunrise.

All by myself

I looked at Gateways but decided on an HP Pavillion dx6000

Pretty cool.. Intel DuoCore, 2GB Ram, 150g HD, built in webcam & mic, DVD burner, bluetooth, 15.4" widescreen, some other shit cant remember all the specs. Not a bad deal for $899 at Fry's.

I'm now posting from the couch in front of the big screen tv and Nathan peeping over my shoulder.

My HP has been great to me for the last 3 years..I'm about due for a new one but since I haven't had any problems with mine at all, why not wait a little longer. The one thing I don't like is the battery life is very short, anyone got any input on that that may help?

Get a new battery. If you've had your for three years, it's about time to replace the battery. They have a limited lifespan and the shortened battery life is just a symptom of your battery taking a dump. Check out Ebay for some decent deals...just make sure that you're getting a "new" battery and not a used one.
