My old 900rr is about to be history (parting it out) It was a mean machine...a little too mean for me to really learn on. I decided to get something a bit mellower. I picked up a 2005 Hyosung GT650s (SV650 clone) with 154 miles on it for $2,000. I will fill you in on how well it works later! ![]()

Nice buy! You'll definitely test the construction of the Hyosung on the track. I'd love to hear your impressions after you push it a bit.

Hey Pat from what I have heard is that the GSXR parts can be used on the ride like forks and springs and so forth so look into some used part and really set that bad boy up.

Dave went through the bike for me. With only 154 miles on it, it has spent a lot of time sitting around. His first impressions are really good. He says it's a really fun bike. The front forks come with .95kg springs, so they are almost spot on for my weight. You light weights may have issues. The bike also seems to share a bunch of parts with the SV650. The Factory Pro Jet kit for this is the same as the one on the SV. I am going to take it on the Death Vally Ride on Saturday, then out to the track on Thursday. It even comes stock with adjustable rear sets

| They also make a 250 that is almost identical to the 650.
