I was reading my sport rider a while back and that got me to thinking. What is your all time greatest bike? I was first going to say I'm a huge fan of the 03 GSXR.... But I'm thinking I would go with the Busa.... it has it all...

1979 RD400 Daytona Special. My first new bike. Unfortunately, it was stolen before I could put chambers on it. I also had an 84 RZ350, it's a toss up between the two.

1999 Hayabusa in Copper! The original... forget top power, if that is the game, I'de say a turbo busa with electric shift, lock-up, mag. wheels, blow-off,... wait - that biked OWNED me.... |

Doc, that bike owned your bank account. For me, I would say that the greatest bike of all time is the Gixxer slingshot. It changed the way bikes would be forever be manufactured.

Hyosung(sp) are better than most of the older bikes you guys throwing out there..... I know some of the answers are biased based on personal exp with them, bt if you have to kick start it, it not the best bike ever...... If it does no exceed 100mph it is not the best bike ever...... If the suspension is not adjustable, it is not the best bike ever.... If I never heard of it, it is not the best bike ever.......... If it was made b4 I was born, it is not a bike.......... I kid, I kid........ Love you guys/gals..... You too Stace..... | |

Obviously, if you're not looking at it in the context of "for it's time", then some new '08 GP bike is going to be the best bike ever. I'm assuming street legal and am comparing to what was available at the time the bike was new.

All depends on how you define "greatest". To me it means having the biggest impact on the industry when it was introduced. Maybe to some it means "fastest" or "most technologically advanced". Not to me.

Exactly Aaron, that's why I picked the Slingshot.

If by "Best" you mean the best use of ripped-off design styles. Then yes it is.

96 GSX-R750 , cause it was the closest to a prepped racebike available for the street, and it changed streetbikes to this day.
