Doesn't matter when you lose the super bowl. Thats the one game you don't want to lose.

how is 18-1 better than 17-0? just because there wasnt as many games on the schedule back then you put the Pats better then Perfectville? no way they still lost the big one.

It's hard as hell to be 18-0, that's why it's never been done before. It's just that much harder to go 19-0. Hate all you want, no one's ever gone 18-0 before, they beat all the top teams in the league this year except for Green Bay, (Including the Giants). They made history and broke all kinds of records. Sunday Feb 3rd just wasn't their day. If you can't give them credit for what they accomplished you're just bitter human being and that's all I have to say about it.
The Giants D-Line played light's out, Manning came up huge in the 4th quarter, Tyree made an AMAZING catch that set up the game winning score, My hat's off to them.

I thought it was one of the best Superbowl games played. Sometimes it can be so one sided but both teams played well.

Yep 18-1 is a great accomplishment... but losing the Super Bowl negates it all. I don't care what type of mindset Bellichick tried to get his team in to, they HAD to have had the weight of the world on their shoulders going in to the Super Bowl. If the Pats had lost a regular season game, I think they would have had the Super Bowl in the bag. Irregardless, this was a great game to watch.

+1

Nobody will remember them for having the most wins in a season (not best record, but most wins), but for not becoming the first team to go 19-0. Regular season doesn't matter. Its only purpose is to get you into the playoffs. The only game that matters is the very last one of the post season.

As far as being the biggest upset, I was not at all surprised that the Giants won. I actually predicted about a month ago that the Giants were the only team in the playoffs that were capable of beating them. I also predicted that the only way they could do it was by putting constant pressure on Brady. Yesterday the Giants front 4 were all over Brady from his first snap all the way to his very last. They made one of the best quarterbacks in history look average. You can sit there and talk about all the records he broke this year, but if you give any quarterback as much time in the pocket as he usually had and even an average quarterback will look good. The difference yesterday was that he did not have time to make anything happen.

The Patriots had a great regular season, but what is important is that they lost the game that counts. All the other 18 games they won are meaningless.

So the latest now is that Tom Brady and Randy Moss pulled out of the pro bowl.

Also, Lemmy the Gopher on 107.5 had a good one liner today.
It went something like this:
"Coach Bellichick; he picked the wrong game to stop cheating."

Damn... really??? I thought the game sucked. I thought it was a boring game until the 4th quarter actually. ...or maybe I was just butt hurt because my Chargers dissappoint me year after year?
