....just wanted to give some quick updates on Will *PHEER* for those that are asking.....

He is more responsive this morning. He is stable. Which is good. He is having big issues with short term memory loss. When I saw him yesterday he could hold a conversation for about 4 minutes, but then would start over like I just got there. This is possibly from the bruise on his brain and should get better over time. When I talked to his nurse last night she said he could remember that I had been there, which is a great sign. He is really banged up...but will heal. He has a long road ahead of him. Thanks for all your cares and concerns.
I will post another update when I see him today.

Wheatie,
It is sad to say that way to many of us have had to go through what you are dealing with right now. I know that we are not much closer then saying "Hey" at a meeting or two. But like every other member on this board , Jay and I are here for you and Pheer. It's a long road ahead of you and just remeber that you don't have to travel it alone.
My prayers go out to you and your family. Hoping for a speedy recovery.

First of all thanks for all well wishes, its appreciated so much.

Will is doing a little better tonight. It's been a slow process and will be a long road. Little by little he has some improvements....small ones, but they are improvements none the less. His memory is getting better and he is a little more coherant. He is still in ICU, and will be in the hospital probably thru the week.

Update 8/15

They are moving him from ICU today to a regular room. They expect to make him get up and move around some tomorrow....
this wont be fun at all with the breaks he has, especially the ribs....but its a step forward. Some of you have asked about coming up to visit...I think it best to wait for now and let him focus on healing. He has asked about all of you, and appreciates all your concerns.
They are saying maybe Friday he can come home?? I am hijacking wi-fi from the only coffee shop in Cedar City, so I dont know whenI will post again. I have my cell phone....and its always on.

That's definitely Good News

You keep him in line Wheatie, no wheelies in his wheel chair, at least not until he's feeling better.

Dinner is on me when you two get home.

Wishing you a speedy recovery Will.

And Wheatie, don't forget to take care of yourself, girlie. Rest when you can. I can probably help run some errands here in town when I'm not at work, or, hell- anything at all, let me know. You should have my digits (got my cellie replaced ;) )

I couldn't resist that cute little racked up teddy bear!
Sometimes being home can be the best thing for ya. Being in a more comfortable environment may be just what he needs to help him recover.

Remember, we are right down the street if you need anything, so don't stress, just pick up the phone, or yell really loud!

When you two are all rested up and Pheer is feeling better, let me know when you want that gourmet dinner for two, Mondays and Tuesdays are best for me since I'm off on those days.
