So due to no panguich ride I got a phone call thursday from BrianT asking If i wanted to ride to Cali. Sorry I didn;t post, it was kinda last minute. Slejor ended up going because he was at my house thursday night. Anyway we left Vegas at 945 Fri and headed to Barstow. Slejor rode I had the GIxx in the back of the truck with TMAC. We met Brian and took off. We were going to Cambria and the Wind was horrible. After we got through the freeway stuff we were looking forward to HWY 58 through the mountain. UNfortunately 2 turns in Slejor hit some loose gravel and lost his bike over a maybe 15-30 hill. Thankfully he stayed on the road, just the bike went over the hill. It looks lilke mostly cosmetic damage at first glance. Anyway we called TMAC who was taking a different route to the coast and had her back track to come load the bike. All said and done an hour or so later it was getting too dark and cold to go through the mountain. So we went a different way. Anyway Saturday Brian and I Rode up HWY 1 to MOnterey and then back to Cambria. About 120 miles took us almost 3 hours. It was beautiful though. Riding with the ocean on one side of you and the mountain on the other is Frackin sweet. That rode is awesome as long as you dont get stuck behind drivers that dont let you pass when the oportunity presents itself. Anway Slejor hung out with TMAC on Sat and we rode back today. Pics to come when BrianT gets them in his COMP. Again sorry I didnt make any phone calls but it was extremely short notice.

"2 turns in" sounds pretty lame. But yeah, that's pretty much what happened. 250 miles of a side wind that knock our bikes all over the place, and I drop my bike when the fun starts.

I'm completely fine. Not a scratch on me. That happened to be my inaugural run of a new pair of Alpinestars SMX Plus boots and a pair of Joe Rocket leather pants. Maybe I should apply to test gear and destroy bikes for a living.

Alright, here are the photos. We can thank BrianT for helping to immortalize this awesome accomplishment. Here's where it originally came to rest. ![]() And as for the damage, I'm glad my frame sliders did their job. ![]() ![]() Finally, a parting shot from the bottom of the hill. That's AndyMac and BrianT at the top of the hell making fun of me.

Wow...the bike went quite a ways down that hill. At least it looks as if your seat cowl is intact.

Yeah, most of the damage is cosmetic. That seat cowl is barely hurt - just two small cracks to take care of. The Woodcraft case was great. I had the thicker skid pad on, and it took a small beating but did what it's supposed to. Unfortunately, the parts I ordered shouldn't get in till after Torrey.

I'm telling ya, duck tape fixes everything. Seriously though, important part is no injuries. I was very glad to see you walking around and already checking on your bike when I pulled up to the scene. Accidents happen and thats why you have good gear. What Marcus didn't mention was that down the hill where his bike ended up is a graveyard of parts from other bikes and cars that have gone over that same hill. You can see some of the debris and roadway markers left there by other crashes in the photo's. This was just a last minute improvised run since it sounded like with Utah canceled Andrew wasn't going to have a ride. The Saturday ride was awesome, it's just too bad the day before and after couldn't have been more of the same. Sorry again about my stupid sticking throttle preventing us from hitting that CA 58 on the way back.
