Yes, it's true.* This is my review.

The Jardine is louder than sin at low RPM's, quiet in the top end, but has a sorta catchy mournful howl for the most part.
The seat is not girl-friendly. It's wide and square; killer to the thighs after a short time.* However, the flatter angle of the seat does provide some comfort (as opposed to being shoved forward on the 636).
I think I miss the 37 extra CC's, but I definitely didn't miss my useless mirrors...
Finally,
After 6 months of riding to school every class and parking in the same spots and seeing the same people walk by, for the first time somebody asked, "Hey, is that your bike!?!"* It was a crushing blow....

Hmm.... that's a tough call.* I'd have to say mine, just because it feels a little more aggressive, but I've got more vibration and those notorious kawi noises.
I don't think I'd ever buy an R6, but I wouldn't mind it as a track bike and I definitely haven't ruled out a Yamaha in the future.

Vibrations and noises...sounds like a NWS topic to me...

If ya like those thangs...try the Buell...
