Soooo I'm coming up to my 3rd (and last!) year of pharmacy school here in Vegas, so I figured while this is probably weird on a bike forum, I might as well offer:

If you are on meds and have questions about side effects, how you should be taking them, or if they interact with other meds you're taking...

Or

You've been on a med and you don't feel it's working and you want to know about other options

Or

If you have a lingering medical issue that you've been meaning to go to the doctor for but always forget or don't feel like paying the co-pay (or straight ca$h)

Or

Any other general question

PM me and I'll try to give you the best, most complete answer I'm capable of at the moment.
This includes anything you've "heard about on TV" regarding herbal stuff and over-the-counter meds.
I can't really help you out if you need surgery and you need a 2nd opinion, but as far as general health issues and meds to treat the condition, I gotcha.

Please include in your PM:

- Age
- Sex
- Family history (if your father had a heart attack at age 51 or something)
- If you smoke or drink(if so, how many packs or drinks a day/week)
- Current Med list, including herbals and over the counter
- Your medical history - what have you been diagnosed with (high blood pressure, diabetes, etc)
- Any allergies (especially to medications) you may have, and what the reaction was (hives, vomiting, anaphylactic shock)
- Any recent lab tests (blood work, cholesterol levels, etc)
- Any other pertinent info you may think of

Disclaimer: I won't B.S. you but I'm not a pharmacist (yet!) so by no means am I going to say that your doctor is wrong about something - I will just give you objective info based on what I've learned and what the most current guidelines are for your particular condition (if a guideline exists). Don't sue me!

Kthx
Bye

I'm a P2
We just got our rotations assigned, but I'm iffy on residency so I didn't choose nuclear as an elective...got Drug Info, ID, and a 2nd community since none of my other electives (surgery/trauma, neonatal ICU) weren't available.

How do you like nuclear? Seems pretty cool, I'd like to get some experience in that area but it's hard unless you actually work in a nuclear pharmacy or get lucky w/ rotations.

Is cardinal hiring? haha. I work at Walgreens now but I don't like the way community is heading

Ah you should of it would be the EASIEST rotation you would of ever had. Try to switch it and come on over! yeah nuclear is fun, you dont have to deal with customers, just hospitals and clinics. And as of right now were not but we will be in the next month.. but we need a Fulltime employee
