Welcome to the board...
well if he has ridden on the track alot then. he would already know the answers to these questions. but he never stated how many track days he has done or what group he rides in so i have to think the very basics from the generic question he asked

True statement. I don't believe Greg has done a track day yet. But there has been some good feedback irregardless.

This is correct. No trackdays as of yet. Only killing it up in Utah. The bike I eventually get will most likely be stock or some parts for the street. So I just wanted to know what I should focus on first for a better ride on the track.

I would say plastics and frame sliders first. Performance stuff is far less important at first...take it from me. I never got outta 3 rd gear at pahrump and most of the track I ran 2nd gear. I never...ever pushed the REX hard all day. I just worked on body positioning not all out speed.

Yup...this early into it, it's not about the speed but the technique. I know at LVMS I didn't get past 3rd all day either and that was only on the front and back stretches.

But, I would agree with most. Track plastics and setting up your suspension properly is the way to go at first...all the rest will come eventually. You want to make sure the bike is safe (tires, etc..) and good to go first...

I think everybody has hit it right on but I think most of us Honda riders are aware of the soft stock front fork springs....
A must change for the track and cheap too. 99 bucks for most spring and it will make a ton of difference in front end feed aback..
