Simple question what do you want to see as a factory option on your bike?

What I would like to see is a factory ECU that is programmable like a power commander.

Or maybe

a USB port that you could plug into and it would diagnose your bike and recommend repairs.. with a manual...

Example plug in and it would tell you change your oxygen sensor and then display the online service manual on how to change the sensor...

I was just going to post exactly that.
With the addition of the O2 sensor.

Although my bike comes with 2 O2 sensors on the overseas models.
Bastards!

Why do you want 02 sensors? Both my bikes came with them, and had to be disabled for the power commander to work correctly.

Maybe you should have just bought HONDA's...

I just want to see a speedometer that's accurate! (BTW, how is it that the speedometer is basically 10% optimistic, but the odometer is almost spot on???)

Programable ECU sounds like a grand idea.

Matching DOT and all other safety standard meeting Helmet and Jacket (Gear)

Repair manual would be nice as well

I actually had that on my 91 FZR. Yamaha had a bright idea and gave full coverage insurance on the new bikes (including medical). AFAIK they quickly found that to be a losing deal on their end and never repeated the offer.

Took my only 9 days before I ended up through the back window of a car and had to cash in on that policy....

Edit: Quality gear and a pass to MSF class or trackday.

THIS is what I believe should be a standard offering with all supersport-class bikes. Quite a few of the auto manufacturers offer a high-performance driving school with the purchase of their sports cars. Motorcycle manufacturers should do the same... especially since we are essentially purchasing a race bike when we buy a ZX/GSXR/RR/R1/R6/etc... Even a $300 voucher towards a mid-priced school such as STAR or the Lee Parks ARC would be sweet.
