Does anyone understand electrical wiring? I am having the hardest time getting my front LED turn signals and rear turn signals to work I managed to get the front turn signals to turn on, but they wouldn't blink. Someone told me I need a resistor for the front signals. I know it's supposed to slow the blinking rate, but I have no idea how to do that
I would appreciate and will pay for any help! I am a little worried since I need to have this done before Friday's ERC class.

Im not 100% sure but here is what I have experience, and some body please correct me if im wrong.

But if you are changing your stock signals to led, you must need to buy a relay for led turning signals ..

You dont NEEED the resistor. My blinkers blink fast and have passed inspection twice...If they dont blink at all well then, thats a lil diff..did they work before? have you changed anything recently?

True, you dont NEED it, unless your blinkers dont blink at all and thats not uncommon on the older Hondas.

I think I have a programmable relay in my garage for an '05 VTX which shouldnt be too different from the 954 wiring. May have to splice it in but then you wouldnt have a problem with things not working at all or blinking too fast.

I'll see if I can find it. But I dont work on bikes anymore so you'll need to get someone else to install it... if I can find it and if it will work with your bike.

Found one resistor (you need two) and a diode that you may need for your turn signal indicator.

Havent found the relay, which means that I have a whole bag of custom dynamics LEDs that I may have thrown away last time I threw a fit in my garage because I couldnt find what I was looking for. Or maybe they are out there and I just cant locate them. I did find a bunch of HK pistol holsters and several hundred bucks worth of brand new VTX parts that I can put on ebay :)

You can have the resistor & diode if you think you need it. Maybe I'll find the relay tomorrow, been going thru everything in the garage and tossing a bunch of stuff out.

No, they aren't blinking at all. They were working when I had the stock signals still on it. The rear signals never worked...but they were never wired. They are integrated and I just have to figure out the wiring for that. I think I can manage the back lights, it's the front that's giving me a headache. Although, I'll take Mr. Pheer's advice and see if I can get it to work that way.
As long as I get it done by Thursday night I'll breathe easier. If worse comes to worst, I'll just have to throw on the stock lights.

Really appreciate that! My friend is getting back into town Wednesday night and said he'd try to come out and take a look at it. I seriously have no idea what I'll need, but if I do end up needing those parts I will definitely let you know. Thanks so much! =]

I'm not sure how LED's work, but I know that if I don't have my front and rear signals connected then the one that is connected is all retarded, no pun intended. Hook up the rear then see how the front are working.
