I've used Mobil 1, 15W-50. Haven't had any problems yet. Used it for 30k in my R1 and so far in the Gixx 750.

Just make sure that on the back seal it doesn't say "Energy Conserving" on whatever you use.

To qualify as "Energy Conserving" it must have friction modifiers. Good for Car engines, Bad for bike clutch plates.

I like Baby oil... It is clear, so when it is not clear anymore I know it is time to change it. and it is good for my skin, so I do not have to wash my hands when I am done....

I couldn't resist..

Now get back on topic....

Mobil 1 MX4TI is the only thing I use in the Busa.. When I had the 750, I would use any of the Moto specific Synthetics from the Moto shops, fpr everyday riding, MX4TI for the track though.

I think sometime depends on what kind of ride you do. hard riding , track or just mellow kind of ride.
I have used Motul 5100 semi-synthetic 15w50 on my bikes and never had slipped clutches or any other problems i have heard on some other oils.

Since i do street/cyns and track i dont need full Synthetic.

oil, type
