whats wrong with the lock? does it not turn? if thats the case , get some graphite spray. Spray it on the key and in the lock. and give it some wiggles..

if not, time for a new gas cap. You can get keyless ones for like 20-30 bucks...

and if that doesnt work, its usually like 3 or 4 allen bolts that hold on the cap..

That lock sounds like it is KIA... time to get a new one...vortex makes a keyless gas cap for 20-30 bucks, id recommend getting it.. unless you want to have two keys for your bike and gas cap...

yeah if you know of a cheap one that would be good, it cost me $100 yesterday to have the guy come to me at the gas station and make me a new key, and the only vortex keyless gas base and keys i see are like $80-$120 so, cheap would be amazing!

A hammer and a screwdriver will fix it.

Seriously though, I'm surprised that Arson got his off with just the allen bolts coming out because I don't think I can take my R1 gas cap off with just the bolts on the outside either. I believe there is one bolt that is actually under the cap itself and they do that so no one can steal it. Otherwise, what the hell is the point of the locking gas cap in the first place if you can just undo the bolts and take it?

However, hopefully he can hook you up and get someone to help you release it so you can replace it.

You know I thought about that, but when I put my new key in the lock, all it does is turn in circles, over and over again. So I am wondering if a lock smith will even be able to open that?

Maybe. They might have tools to bypass that or some ideas that we haven't thought of. Not sure.
