ok , so today we brought the CBR home from storage.

i was checking everything out before i let my buddy ride her home.

and there was no water in the radiator....hmm there was when i bought the fucker.

anyways, i grab the jug out of my car start pouring , and all this white/greenish milky liquid comes out of a crack in the radiator........ i already planned on a new radiator beacuse this one has a few dents.

but , i checked the oil to make sure antifreeze wasnt mixing with the oil , usally meaning bad head gasket, and the oil was very clean. no milky liquid there.

we still rolled it home 1mile home from storage. arrived in one piece.

any ideas guys ? ? ?

Jist aa guess here, but perhaps its still a blown gasket and the compression is forcing the oil into the antifreeze and not the other way around. Can you check for excess pressure in radiator?

ok , found out how to check for excess pressure, and according to the cbr forum , its either the oil cooler or headgasket.

Do a chemical block test to see if there's combustion gasses in the cooling system.

No offense to those who like Line-ex, but come on.. that shit belongs in the bed of a truck and not on a bike.
But then again, if you're looking for scratch resistance and don't care about aerodynamics... be my guest. :)

well , i fixed oil getting into the antifreeze problem , now antifreeze is going into the oil.

sigh.

problem after problem

just gonna go ahead and replace the motor w/ the f3 one dave has in his garage.

and the linex, looks awesome on my bike. i love the look. linex is used for alot more than trucks.

there must have been aleast 40 uses the guy at the linex shop gave me for it.

but , atleast i dont have to worry about scratching a brand new paint job.

you will just have to see the before and after pix, its gonna be shocking.

aerodynamics?

come on, you're not going to actually state that aerodynamics on a bike would be noticibly affected by paint texture? riiiight.

that being said, i probably wouldn't use line-x for painting my bike, but it's more of an aesthetic choice than a practical/functional one.

you'll never notice the difference in aerodynamics between line-x and regular paint. even at 180 mph, the slight texture of line-x would not significantly disrupt airflow enough to affect Cd.

yep, but it's kinda difficult to perform double-blind testing on motorcycle paint.
