Does anyone know "How To" check a stator to see if it is performing properly? I am have problems with my battery holding a charge and didn't know if the battery was bas or if the stator is going. Also, on my last ride i noticed the guages were dim.

unplugg the plug coming from the stator or voltage reg/rec should be 3 yeller wires take volt meter on a/c voltage and prob 2 wires at idle should be around 60volts a/c rev bike to 5k or more should be minium of 72 volt a/c if voltage is in that range then chekc voltage at battery at idle should be 12.6 to 13.2 rev to 5k or higher should be at 14.5 no higher if voltage is correct at stator but not at battery then voltage reg/rec is bad if both check ok most likely battery but being a yammie im gonna say its the voltage reg/recEDIT YOU HAVE WHITE WIRE NOT YELLOW YAMMIE HAS TO BE DIFF
