Motorcycle: I'm takin over the GSXR 1000.. see that, babe? ha ha
I just have to say, seeing as I won around 7 prizes at the raffle and my man IS a member of the club, I wish I would have been at the meeting to voice this myself because I was told that this issue was brought forth because of my winning streak...

Here's my take...

Issue #1... When I bought the food tickets, I was GIVEN raffle tickets with them and was GIVEN the raffle tickets by an OFFICER. It was also posted on the flyer that if you buy a food ticket you get a raffle ticket.

Issue #2... According to the flyer that was posted in the threads it simply states that only MEMBERS are not eligible to win prizes during the raffle. I am not a member. Nowhere on the flyer does it state anything about "spouses".

Issue #3... Seeing as peeps were apparently whining, getting their panties in a bunch and getting all technical about a supposed "spouse" not being eligible for the raffle as well, here's a little bit of trivia for you all... I'm technically not a spouse!

I've attached the original flyer as posted on the SCS forum for you all to read again as well. If someone had a problem, they should have voiced their concerns at the bbq.

And I still have people asking why I stopped being a member? You don't need to be a rocket scientist to figure it out. Stop making rules up as you go. If there are disclaimers to rules posted, post those with the rules and there would be clarity for all of those reading it.

Here's a quick response...
  1. You are correct.
  2. Ditto.
  3. Thanks for clarifying this.

Since this agenda item was posted here without context, then please contact myself or another Officer for further clarification. And even though your participation in the raffle may have inspired this discussion, we (the Officers) were directing this point to ALL SCS members.

Regardless of whether or not it is expressly stated, we are attempting to remove anyone affiliated with the Club from any of our event raffles.

P.S. Any further discussion of this issue needs to be taken to PM's. Thanks!

E
