I should take the Lexus out there and see if it runs what the mags says it runs.

Years ago Motorcycle Madness was great (except for the safety aspect). Only bikes. We used to get anywhere from 15-20 runs in a night.

But at Midnight Mayhem, I used to take our 2002 F-150 out. 17sec flat @ 80mph consistantly. WooHoo!

I am afraid to take the 2004 F-150 out. With the 2" taller tires than stock, and the stock 3.55 gears, I am sure it'll be slow as hell. Not to mention the tires are about 1k miles from showing the wear bars, I'd have to do burnouts to get traction.

Do the gates open at 7, race at 8? Also is there another "test and tune" going on that night?

I just checked their website, and yes, they do have a test n tune prior to the Midnite Mahem. Kind of makes it unattractive based on how screwed up it was last time. But this test n tune seems to be different, not sure if this would make any different.

I tried sending them an e-mail to suggest an all motorcycle night, but couldn't get a good address. I'm all for it to charge double ($20) just to have all bikes. Plus if they schedule it far enough in advance, there would be enough publicity between all of the local forurms and bike dealerships to make it a good turnout. The plus side for the track, they wouldn't need as many volunteers for a bikes only night. And probably have zero cleanups.

From the days of Motorcycle Madness, my best was 11.27 @ 130.00

But I won't take it out there anymore. In the couple of years of Motorcycle Madness, I did a couple hundred passes and a severely burnt-up the clutch (new one put in after).

If I did go, I'd want to keep going. And with possibly trying to sell it, I don't want to take the chance of jacking up the clutch again.

Here's a great pic of me racing Lee on his R6. As you can see, I destroyed him off the line.

I always wanted to drop the rear preload/compression and strap the front forks and see what it would do with someone like Nick on it (or smaller). But he's the only person I would trust with it.

Test and tune is the BEST THING that can happen before Mayhem!!! Reason being, they will prep the track and you will hook up like a hooker on payday outside the military base! lol

Trust me on that, it is a lot better.
