This is from a website I check out from time to time

We have urged support for SB434 - the OHV legislation - UNTIL NOW.
This week, the Senate Transportation Committee added amendments to the bill which removed the original*OHV Committee and the OHV Fund. They gave all the fees we will pay*to the DMV. They put in an OHV advisory committee composed of 13 people, only one of whom will be an OHVer. Evidently this committee will have nothing to do but propose regulations affecting our sport.
We can no longer support a bill which is clearly not in the best interests*of the OHV Community. We are asking for letters of opposition to*SB434, and*for letters to the Governor asking him to veto this bill if it should*get to his desk. Here is how you can help:
Address a letter to the "Members of the Transportation Committee". Say that you*own an OHV and that you oppose SB434. Those are the crucial points. If you wish, you can also say that this bill does not*include the requests of the OHV Community, that it imposes a new fee on OHV*owners, and that there is no benefit to the owners who will be forced to pay this fee.*
Also address a letter to Governor Gibbons. Ask him to please veto SB434. Say that he promised no new fees and this bill charges a fee. Say that this bill does not represent the requests of the OHV Community and that you feel it has no benefit to the OHV owners in this state.
Please send these letters by email to The letters will be printed out and given to the legislature and to the governor*when they will make the most impact.*Physical letters*get more attention than do emails, so this is*our preferred method.*It will help the cause greatly to*collect these letters now. Please pass this message to anyone*you know with an OHV. They do not need to be a*club member to send a letter to Gary.*As things progress, if we think that an email to the legislature and governor will help defeat this bill, we will let you know where to send the emails.
Our sport depends upon us speaking up on this matter. The future is in your hands. Please*don't hesitate to contact Gary with any questions you*may have.*
