Ok, this question has been bugging me forever. When on a webpage, and there is a picture on the page that I want to save (example: whenhell.jpg ), usually to save I right-click and choose "Save picture as..." But the only extension choice I have is to save as a .bmp even though when I look at the properties of the pic, it's a .jpg

Can anyone tell me why, or how to change so I can save it at it's native .jpg?

When you do the right click save as, the save window should open and the type should be changeable to either one.... If that is not an option for you, I am not sure what you can do.

I tried just typing the name and .jpg in the file name area, and it saved it correctly. It would be easier if I didn't have to add the extension every time.

Thanks Larry, but the MS answer didn't help.
