So is it just me or did anyone else think that there was something lacking...like safety gear.

Most of the mainstream stunters are pretty gear-oriented (not to mention most of them have sponsorships), but this evidently wasn't a mainstream, XDL-type stunt competition. So... their attire is pretty much par for the course.

I could care less about anyone else, but the 13 yr/old definitely needs to step up his gear game.

hey guys Stunt 101 Events has asked Stunt Vegas for local input on this and what the Vegas guys wanna see next year, anything you can give me will help, if you want to be anonymous, you can PM me or email me at events@stuntvegas.com and I will leave your name out of communications past Stunt Vegas.

Next year, Stunt 101 Events might be teaming up with Stunt Vegas to help improve the event and get more local support =]

SVP will have its photos up in about 3-4 days after the event date at MySpace.com - StuntVegas Promotions - 100 - Male - LAS VEGAS, Nevada - www.myspace.com/stuntvegas

If you want suggestions, look at the posts!
This is an event that I will make it a point to avoid. Look at the complaints! Talk to the people in YOUR Club they felt the same way!
Night time event, HOW ABOUT LIGHTS, A REAL SOUND SYSTEM, REAL STUNT SHOW!

You asked, the event was a joke!

I can obviously read the posts, there were people who might of liked the event on here but not wanted to voice their opinion in a negative enviroment.

I will talk to Vegas Knights at the next meeting we hold. I was just simply asking for the insight of anyone who didnt post.

I'm sorry you feel you want to avoid the event in the future, this was the first public bike week where they tried to get everything organized, with a few things falling through, like lighting was purchased but the people suppose to bring it from vegas to the event failed to do so... The stunters that were scheduled backed out due to higher paying gigs, another thing out of Stunt 101's control. The sound system i think was jsut fine, not sure where you problem was with that.. please expand on that for me?

What pissed me off about the event was the charge to get in without any notice..Was that out of their control as well? Maybe they forgot to put that in their flyer... I guess the rest of the event wasn't too bad if they would of done their homework, but they have been planning this for at least a couple months so that seems like poor planning, the lights seem like a bad excuse to quit early, that could of been taken care of well in advance.

Also, one thing to remember people, even if it was no fun, or problematic, it takes peoples will power and dedication to get a show going, and if it wasnt for those kinds of people, we wouldnt have rides and functions to go to, so do try to so some kind of respect.

Thanks.

I have already been in contact with J. Garcia aka Miami in regards to SCS concerns. If other clubs have concerned Miami said they can email him and express those concerns. Once I get more information from Miami I will post that up in the members area.

My thoughts on the event.....IT SUCKED!!!!!! I was hoping for a better Stunt Show but the parking lot was too small for them to do anything in, no lights, and of course we had to pay for an event that there was no notice about.

The best part of the whole damn thing was the ride there and the ride back.

I think the event failing was a blessing in disguise! Did we not have a BLAST afterwards?! We probably would not have continued our festivities if we had stayed the entire time!

We had a very GREAT time after that. The best part of any day is always hanging with good friends with a beer in your hand and a smile on your face.

First and formost....I could not attend this event, so I have no real knowledge of what happened, other than what I have read.....but it appears like there were several problems, Let me start by saying that when you plan a big event, and when that event is in another state, there are going to be some glitches......there were alot of riders there, and I just feel that maybe next year we should help these folks out, to try to make this event a success, instead of just complaining about what happened, lets use constructive critim to aid in the planning and sucess of this event for next year...come on SCS we are a family, and we should not turn our backs on this event, who knows maybe this could be an annual event for sportbikes, just like the Laughin event for Harley bikes........Again just some thoughts......

Biggest problem......
LOGISTICS!!!!

I am a Production Specialist. I get calls from clients who want to do some of the craziest stuff you could possibly imagine ( driving motorcycles through your 8,000 square foot house while it is packed full of people and equipment ) ( building a fully functional garage out of truss with lighting in the middle of the Salt flats ) so I don't really have a lot of sympathy when it comes to a situation like we experienced. However, if you want input I can give you that.

1. You are at a hotel that has the ability to provide power for whatever you might need. UTILIZE IT!!

2. You need to hire a Technical Director, or Production guy such as myself to look at the situation, evaluate what needs to happen and then you can figure out what the cost will be. Then you would be able to figure out how much to charge for your event.

3. The audio there was horrible. The sound system was not tweaked correctly. Your have to have someone who knows what they are doing with a PA for an event such as that. When you go from a DJ to a Live band, you have to have someone ridding the console to make everything sound right.

4. The venue did not flow correctly. Vendor location was poor at best. You had to decide if you wanted to see the stage, see the stunt area, or check out the vendors.

5. There were NO lights on stage, and nothing lighting up the stunt area. You NEVER put a band on stage with out lights, especially after dark. Also you needed more general lighting for the public for safety purposes.

6. Stunt Riders backing out for higher paying gigs?!?!? Unacceptable that is what contracts are for. You negotiate and agree upon a price ( go back to #2 to figure out a price) and you sign a contract.

7. Just remember Las Vegas is considered the entertainment capital of the world, if you are going to put something on, you have to remember that you are going to be held to a high standard. Also remember that you are going to get what you pay for when it comes to the talent that you hire.

8. Last but far from least.... Moto to live by in Entertainment.......
YOU ARE ONLY AS GOOD AS YOUR LAST SHOW!!

Sorry if I sound like an ass, but I am a perfectionist in my field and you asked for feed back.

I agree with JDubz63. We need to keep all doors open for all events. Here is an email from Miami, he has been very nice and really wants to make things right. The letter is below.

Hello,

First and foremost let us start off by apologizing for any inconvenience that you or your fellow riders may have encountered. We here at Stunt 101 Events work hard to understand the needs of every individual and motorcycle club. You and your clubs suggestions are taken seriously. After speaking to our representative that was conducting the event, we have decided to comp you and your fellow riders should you decide to show up next year. Near next years event please send us and email with your complete contact information and the members who were obligated to paying and we will resolve this matter. We understand there was a lot of attention to detail for the event due to lack of staff. Our 3rd party company that was contracted for lighting the open area never showed with lighting that was requested and paid for. In conclusion, you may feel free to contact us anytime, we look forward to next year, we would like to assure you and your colleagues that next year will be completely re-vamped that way there a lot of attention to detail.

Thank you,
J. Garcia

OK, I would like to say that I uphold my last post, I was not impressed with the event at all. BUT, having heard J Dubz I am now enlightened with a bright and prosperous idea, helping them out next year and maybe getting some SCS love out there. J Dubz, that is why you are a very important part of this family, you truly hold the core values of SCS at heart. Helping out the moto community being a very important one. That is all, CARRY ON!!
