I Ride: 2006 GSX-R 600 Half Naked Edition
OK... so these were supposed to be pictures of Oktoberfest, but I only really spent about four hours there. If you want to see what Oktoberfest looks like, check out my Myspace. Almost all of these pictures are from Prague, Czech Republic. I'll explain what I can remember...

First class train on the way to Prague. For only knowing English, we did pretty good at deciphering signs.

We went on a 6 hour walking tour of Prague. This was our starting point, Wenceslas Square, right outside of our hotel.

The National Museum hasn't been renovated in a good while. You can still see bullet holes from the last violent revolution.

This is a memorial to two students who protested Communism in the square. Both set themselves on fire maybe a year apart.

These buildings are called the Koruna and the Euro and they're right across the street from one another. The Czech Republic's old currency is the Koruna, but they joined the E.U. and will be strictly Euro around 2010 or 2011. The buildings were meant to have characteristics of their respective currencies.

Estates Theatre, where Mozart held some performances.

Charles University (next door to Estates Theatre) is probably the oldest University in Eastern Europe.

The Astronomical Clock... Although it has a geocentric view of the universe, it's pretty good at keeping track of the sun, moon, and stars. The bottom part has a year's worth of names around it. On your name day you get presents as well as on your birthday.

I think this was called something along the lines of the Adam and Eve towers. Note how Adam's tower (on the right) is bigger.

I believe a bunch of catholics were tortured here by protestants. Every cross is for a separate person. Somewhere close to here some major Catholic was thrown out of a window to start something similar to the Reformation. Religion is serious business.

Charles Bridge and the statues that line it. Lots of things were filmed here.

It's nice to see expensive cars when they break down...

OK, this one wasn't broken down, but it was cool. I think I saw it in a recent Marvel movie...

The Jewish quarter. Hitler spared this area because he wanted it to be a reminder of the extinction of the Jewish race. Not it has one of the biggest holocaust museums in the world. And Hitler wasn't the first to mess with the Jews here. Before his time, the Christians were were pissed because they believe the jews killed Jesus. The built walls around the Jewish quarter and gave everyone there curfews. The also had to wear badges that showed their religion. Sounds familiar...

This is a giant moving pendulum that's supposed to represent the fact that things change. Before it was there, there was a giant statue of Stalin. When everyone found out how much of a douche bag Stalin was, the statue was covered and was later moved in the middle of the night without any mention in the papers or anywhere else (that's the commie way). Around 1996, Michael Jackson had a concert in Prague, and to commemorate the occasion, they put a huge statue on that pedestal of Michael, right where Stalin used to be. A lot of the residents weren't too happy...

Prague Castle, the biggest castle in the world (I think).

St Vitus Cathedral in Prague Castle. I think it took 600 years to complete. They wouldn't let us use flashes inside but they let Kanye shoot almost an entire music video here. Assholes.

And the view from Prague Castle

Lennon Wall. Once filled with just Beatles lyrics, now tourists just trash it.

That was the only educational part of the tour. The rest was just a bunch of alcohol. If anyone watches the show "Three Sheets," we hit up a few of the bars shown there. I'm getting lazy again and don't feel like explaining any more right now.

And one of my few pictures from Oktoberfest in Munich...

There are a lot of stories about things that happened while I was out there. Ask me and I'll tell them offline.

Here are a few more pictures of buildings that lined Wenceslas Square. Our tour guide had a story about almost every building there.

We also went on a ghost tour and a different tour guide told us that this was a golem (I believe) and Hitler spent a great deal of time trying to find it so that he would win the war. Sounded too similar to the origins of Hellboy (also filmed in Prague). I'd probably be more afraid of the giant rabbi standing next to him anyway.

That's a great idea! Lemme see if I can scrape up about $20K to cover expenses.

So Marcus... is this what did you in? I heard this stuff is the shiznit.

Yeah, that was it. We drank the bottle and blacked out for a while. I took video of most of it.

I ended up half naked next to a pool of vomit. My friend got his cell phone pick pocketed. I believe I won.

Excellent pics! I was attempting a London,Prague,Rome trip, but finding people who have the time and cash to hit Europe is hard. What were the locals like? Friendly? Douche bags? Also what type of bikes did you see people sporting?

The only douche bags I've found in Europe resided in London. How can so many people be mean and have fucked up teeth? (Not a joke - I had a lot of "I'd hit that" moments until they smiled) Prague, Germany, and even a different city in England had a bunch of cool people. And everyone knew enough English to get by.

I didn't see a lot of bikes this time around, but I did notice a couple of B-Kings. And a German girl I talked to kept going on and on about how much she wanted one. Bizarro Land...
