Great ride report. Reminds me of the other one where the dude and his wife went to the Arctic Circle on a V-Strom 650. Beautiful pics. Makes me want to get a sport tourer...bad!!!!

great ride report... and awesome pics... I'm missing the roads up in N Nevada / N California... but am going up the 23rd-25th for Street Vibrations... and we were in Tonopah on Sat also and got caught in that rain and it felt soooo good...

Awesome dude!!!! Super sweet pics. Those are some epic shots. Everyone should get an opportunity to see many of those landmarks in person.

How many miles do you have on that thing now? What kind of MPG's did you get?

Answer to your questions, 71k and over 50mpg, as I was refuelling around the 250 mark on the trip meter.

Awesome ride report!!! Havent ever been up that far north, but someday I'll give it a go. I have a 5 day ride planned with my dad in the next couple weeks, I'll probably take the same route as you the first day. Were planing on only ~400 miles a day with a lot of detours. Hopefully next year I'll be able to get a true adventure bike and do some central america stuff.
