An update for anyone heading up there soon. Our resident BMW rider that lives in Torrey UT was up there the other day and someone has removed the green Mt Gleno sign behind the rock in this pic. I don't think it was an official since the brown and white SR-72 Mt Gleno Summit sign screwed into the back of the information keyosk is still there and you'd think that would be the first one they'd see. We're working on getting another sign up to replace the missing one and hopefully making it harder to remove. I just wanted to give you guys a heads up so you weren't looking for the sign that's no longer there if anyone goes up there in the near future. On a side note, I know you guys do the Adopt A Highway thing in Vegas for SCS. I'm sure the rules are a little different in Utah, but those of you with experience with the Adopt A Highway thing can you PM me some of the details or let me know who in SCS to talk to about it? Some of us are looking into what it would take to Adopt a section of this highway that Gleno loved to get his name officially on there so we know it won't be removed. Looking at the Utah website for Adopt A Highway gives some basics like a 2 year contract with a minimum of 3 clean up days a year and that we have to sign a bunch of hold harmless agreements to not sue Utah if we get hurt. I'm kind of hoping to see what kind of logistics are involved with the cleanup and an idea of how many people would be needed to make this happen. Any help on this would be appreciated. I don't know that we can get enough people to commit, but I at least want to look into what we would need to do it to know if it would be possible or not.

This effort could probably be accomplished with 10 people or so. Usually, DOT provides all of the necessary safety equipment (orange vests) and trash bags to make this happen. DOT should also pick up the trash bags at a designated spot after the cleanup. As long as there would be a place to park the bikes, this would be a great activity to incorporate into a riding trip. (especially on "Sweeper Madness") Our cleanup here in Nevada takes a bit more than an hour with about 15 people participating, so it doesn't burn up a whole lot of time. If a "Gleno Memorial" AAH happens, I'll commit to coordinating an annual trip to UT to do a cleanup.
