I Ride: 2005 Suzuki Hayabusa LE/2007 Suzuki GSXR600/2000 Honda CBR600F4
Another fun-filled evening of riding... we're hitting up Red Rock and hanging out at our favorite people watching spot afterwards!

Meet Up Time/Date: 5:45pm Thursday, May 22nd - Kickstands up at 6pm!
Meet Up Spot: The Chevron across from the Red Rock Casino. MAP

Route: Charleston/159 to the Red Rock Scenic Loop entrance. Through the loop to the overlook... maybe one more trip through the loop. Eventually head back in town and stop by Starbucks for a minute.

Come on out and and ride! Don't think about it... just do it!

Post up your INs!!!

Oh yea... and for you hardcore Red Rock fans, I made a Social Group just for you!

Red Rock Riders of the Evening!

Nice ride! But I hope the guy who crashed on the green Duc pulls through. That bike was trashed.

I agree with Jeff on this, RR is a great place to ride and get used to laying the bike over more than usual, but the problem is there are too many people that go out there and ride way above their abilities and learn the hard way..It's too bad because I'm just waiting for the day when the close it off to bikes..

Thats it right there.
But that happens anywhere/everywhere.

More so on RR simply because of the number of different areas that are packed into such a small place where riding beyond your limit (or riding recklessly) will bite you.

Riding on the street you might run into a few spots where you could get into trouble for riding stupid.

Once you enter RR, if you are riding stupid, you will go through MANY spots where you can get in trouble.

Yeah...that would suck.

But, luckily, the rangers are short-staffed.
So, at least they most likely will not be adding rangers to the routes.

They might do more traps aimed at MCs though...hmm, that would suck.

I think a better solution would be to have more strict requirements from the DMV for individuals to get an M license and to register bikes for street use. I think its currently too easy for kids starting out to legally get bikes.

But then again...natural selection at work...

good point freddy, i totally agree with that. it is easy to get the endorsment. should require alot more then a written test and a short, slow manuvering test to pass.

They need to do graduated licensing like in Europe, so new riders would have to start on lower powered bikes. I know it sounds anti-american to impose such things in this country, but again driving is a privilege, not a right.

As far as the wreck at red rock (Me and another rider passed through 5 min after it happened) a paramedic told me the guy definitely broke his femur and that his full face helmet saved his life. Wear your gear folks, his saved his life.
