I Ride: 2005 Suzuki Hayabusa LE/2007 Suzuki GSXR600/2000 Honda CBR600F4

Once again, it's time to mount up once again and take a nice, relaxed ride around our favorite scenic loop!

Meet Up Time/Date: 6:00pm Thursday, July 31st - Kickstands up at 6:15pm!
Meet Up Spot: The Chevron across from the Red Rock Casino. MAP

Route: Charleston/159 to the Red Rock Scenic Loop entrance. Through the loop... maybe one more trip through the loop. Stop off at the Overlook and kick back for a sec. Eventually head back in town and stop by Starbucks/Port A Subs/Pizza Hut/Tropical Smoothie Cafe for a while to recharge and talk bikes and life.

We all can make excuses why we can't ride, so let's make some excuses to get out and enjoy the evening temps!

Post up your INs!!!

Oh yea... and for you hardcore Red Rock fans, I made a Social Group just for you!

Red Rock Riders of the Evening!

It's highly possible that I'm IN, but it all depends on work.

Is he a completely new rider and hasn't taken an MSF class or anything?
If that's the case, I'd say it may be too much...

The speed limit thru the loop is 25mph

Yes it will be too much if he tries to push it.. but its actually not bad for leisurely cruising thru, its nice and wide.

Make sure to wear your gear, esp. new riders, watch your speed, brake before a turn, and trust your tires, and above all else remember that knowledge is power and we need all the power we can get so please learn ALL you can from experienced riders.
Unfortunately I am out so have fun and be safe.

Keep in mind that the ride is tomorrow. (Thursday) If your friend has his M endorsement, then bring him along! Our motto is "ride your own ride" and Red Rock is a great place to take a leisurely cruise, as Mr Pheer stated.

In.

red rock is perfectly fine for beginners if they have the ability to not try and keep up with the guys who know every corner in the place. It's a great road to learn how to take all types of corners and obstacles. The speed limit through most of it is 30mph. And if they keep within the posted limits, especially those 15mph turns, they'll be fine.

Yes there can be sand on the road in some places which is why you usally take it easy at least on the first time through. Right now, if you want cold your gonna have to wear a cooling vest and ride to Mt Charleston at night after the sun goes down.. Other than that, the heater works great on the bikes right now

There shouldn't be a question of what "our average speed" would be. "RIDE YOUR OWN RIDE" this is not a race and leave the ego at home. Have fun and be safe, there are no trophies given and no prize money.
