Put some turbos on those jugs (one on each), spray some nitrous in there, some water injection, race fuel, and I'll be in your pit crew.

How many runs do you get in a night? Before they started having Motorcycle Madness, the Midnight Mayhem got so packed that you only got in 4-5 runs a night, tops. I remember the first few nights there were only 100 or so cars & bikes, and you could get in at least 10 runs a night.

Then once word got out, there were more than 300 cars. Every kid with a rice-rocket, or Mom's car was out there. But there were over 30 bikes, then it took forever between runs.

Then they started the Motorcycle Madness on Sat nights after the bracket racing and it gave the bikes a place to run without waiting 2 hours between runs. I remember getting in more than 15 runs a night during the Motorcycle Madness.

But even those weren't without problems. MM was supposed to start at 11pm, but most Sat nights the bracket racing ran past midnight, which cut into our time (sometimes they would allow us to run past 1am to make up for it). Then they started letting us run earlier, between bracket race heats, but we had to stage/launch outside the groove, all the way over by the wall (in the trash & crap on the edge of the track). Needless to say there were serious traction issues out there, especially for the high-horsepower bikes. We voiced our concerns to management (to no avail). I even sent an email to NHRA (and everyone I could find an email addy at LVMS) regarding the safety risk they were putting the bikes through. Boy did I get a bunch of nasty responses from the LVMS management. They never fixed the issues, so we all boycotted and stopped going to Motorcycle Madness.

Looking at the LVMS schedule it doesn't look like they even have Motorcycle Madness anymore.

no motorcycle madness, i have been averaging about 7 runs a night, the later it gets, the faster things move. As long as no one gets stupid in the staging areas, we get treated pretty well and the crowd gets a kick out of us.

Here are the remaining dates for Midnight Madness....

Oct. 17 - 9 p.m.-1 a.m. (gates open at 8 p.m.).
Nov. 21 - 9 p.m.-1 a.m. (gates open at 8 p.m.).
Dec. 12 - ?p.m.-Midnight (gates open at 6 p.m.).

I'll see if I can get someone to cover for me on Nov 21st. I just gotta see how fast mine will go in the 1/4 mile.

NO Latin Ryderz! I was surprised. Also had a new guy that went out on the track. He had a good first run on a FZR600 ( at least I think that is what it was ) anyhow he pulled a 12.95 his first run. He ran against a Busa so he knew he had no chance. He then got excited and a little amped up. He decided he wanted me. I told him sure you are definitely going to beat me, just make sure you don't try to leave the line with me. Just run your own race; I will get away from you, but you will reel me in easily.

I lined up next to him to pre stage and he was just egging me on. I tried to tell him to relax. We hit the burn out box, I did my burn out he sat in the water. I did a rolling burn out to the light, he rolled up. I stacked my RPMs up to about 5000 and set for my launch. He tried to do the same thing and get his RPMs up I guess to hear his bike against mine or something, I don't exactly know. Well you don't have to be a rocket scientist to figure out what happened. I was given a new nickname by Dave ( Exile ) at Moto.

He physically is OK. This is a perfect example for old and NEW people on the board to remember.... Ride your own ride and know your bike. Also know both limitations and save yourself embarrassment and possible expenses and above all else injury!

Mad love to All SCS and congrats to Kokonut, you are coming along brotha. You got the bug, I just wish more would come out.
