You just hang a right (west) off the freeway on Blue Diamond. The Chevron is 1 block up on the right.

Hi guys,
"Twas good to meet you all... sorry I took off. That traffic was WAY too brutal, and my temp was over 250 with temp light coming on whenever we stopped. Just not worth it to me. I headed home, stopped at Jamba Juice, watched the world go by then came home. Hope the ride got better for you... I'll see on another ride some time.
Karen

Nice to meet you as well Karen. Not only did that damn traffic make that ride way too miserable, I head back to town so I can get my 109 over to Ride Now and see what they were going to give me for for it...That place is a fuckin joke and a big fat waste of time. Not only did they LOW ball me to the extent of $7000, the sales manager who called me yesterday that actually found my bike on craigslist never even bothered to come out and intoduce himself. I will NEVER go to Ride Now for ANYTHING!!!

Right after you guys left, traffic got much better. And it helped immensely that once we got into Cali, we got our lanesplit on.

Great ride peeps... the food was pretty decent at the Searchlight Casino as well.

Hahahahaha!! And that 1/4 mile took what... about another 30 minutes?! I'm glad to hear it cleared for you guys and that you enjoyed the rest of the day. If I didn't have to get home to return a cockatoo to a lady, I might have stuck it out... see ya next time!

Sorry about the traffic....

But, indeed, right after the Primm exit, it went back up to 50-60MPH.
It was pretty quick to get to the Nipton exit.

Just to show that I'm not crazy. This is from Wikipedia.

"Lifestyle

Flynn was notorious for his drinking, womanizing, and brawling. His freewheeling, hedonistic lifestyle caught up with him in November 1942 when two under-age girls, Betty Hansen and Peggy Satterlee, accused him of statutory rape.[7] A group was organized to support Flynn, named the American Boys' Club for the Defence of Errol Flynn (ABCDEF); its members included William F. Buckley, Jr.[citation needed] The trial took place in January and February of 1943, and Flynn was cleared of the charges. The incident served to increase his reputation as a ladies' man, which led to the popular phrase "in like Flynn", the phrase being later parodied in the James Coburn spy spoof "In Like Flint".[8]"

So I didn't totally make up everything. I know, it's Wikipedia and it may not be true. I just had reason to believe it was possible.

You really didn't miss anything Jeff, although the end of the ride sounds like it went well, the traffic between Jean and Stateline was bumper to bumper and took over an hour...NOTHING, IMHO, is worth that ride!!!
