Is this a track or like a drag race?

Besides $10.00 , what are the requirements as far as gear and the bike itself?

It's a drag strip. Requirements... I'm not sure. A helmet. Maybe a jacket? I've seen a guy race with pajama pants on before. Full gear and a track ready bike isn't necessary (I believe)

Thanks, anyone else want to chime in on the requirements? Otherwise, I'm in. I'll be coming straight from work (airport) so I will have to be doing some major lane splitting up 15 to get to the meet up point by 5:45pm.

They do a quick saftey inspection, it's $10 to get in and race if you want to. There's usually a hella long line (1hr min) of cars waiting to get in. Bring food and a drink. Basic gear.

I thought it was strictly for bikes.

We usually go as a group and line up in our own line. But it's mainly rice burners. Probably 20 or so bikes on any given night and 50 to 100 cars. If your there early you should be able to get 4 or 5 runs in. Your first run down is against whoever is in line beside you to get in, then you'll go up against other bikes.

Well it may certainly not be fair for me against a liter bike or even a 600 gixer, R6, etc. But I should match up well against Jeremy on his SV650 or possibly your Interceptor. Just my 2cents

I don't think there are classes of vehicles or anything like that. You're just racing against the stop watch!

Went up against Last Minute all three times, our bikes matched up pretty close, even though I beat him all three times. Great entertainment for $10, especially watching this Mustang blow it's engine so hard that his hood blew off the car, and it caught on fire.

Even Spooby made a guest appearance and had a blast. He was up against a very experienced 2006 Hayabusa rider.
