Fried regulator/rectifier. It smoked like a bitch at the entrance to RR. (check out JEZBOY's video) I have to test the stator as well.

Sorry to hear that Eric. I am assuming that the bike was still rideable? Or at least get home.

Gee, you never know what to expect on these RR Rides. LOL...seems like every week, it's something different. I'm not sure if I have ever seen a video quite like that.

You're going to have to come up with a slogan for the RR Rides, it's not just a ride, it's an Adventure! I guess I should start coming out on these rides just for entertainment purposes.

I've got some info as well... and the guy who I bought it from has some detailed instructions and even provides his personal number for support. But send me the link you have anyway.

Yes... I've got to check out the stator as well, but this issue starting out even prior to me installing the Shorai battery.

Yeah, he just scraped up his forearm a bit but nothing too bad. He was on the yellow GSXR in the beginning of the video.

No offense, but that's why you don't ride without any gear...so there isn't a "the one time without any gear" incidents. But I'm glad he is okay.

Eric - Sucks about the bike man. Hopefully the parts aren't too expensive. I've heard of regulators going on R1's and burning up before, but I've never actually seen it happening. Most of the time they just stop charging the battery, so the bike dies and you can't restart it. They don't actually catch on fire and/or smoke or what not.

Hopefully you'll be back out soon. I almost made this ride, but had to shoot the LV Celtic Highland Games this past Sat/Sun. Maybe this Sun if you guys have a ride I can finally make one. LOL
