![]() It's time to mount up once again and take a nice, relaxed adventure around our favorite scenic loop! Meet Up Time/Date: 5:45pm Thursday, Aug 18th - Kickstands up at 6:00pm! Meet Up Spot: The Chevron across from the Red Rock Casino. MAP Route: Charleston/159 to the Red Rock Scenic Loop entrance. Through the loop... maybe one more trip through the loop. Stop off at the Overlook and kick back for a sec. Please ensure that you have either $3 for the Loop entrance fee, or an Annual Pass. (although one Annual Pass covers four bikes, so everyone should be covered) We all can make excuses why we can't ride, so let's make some excuses to get out and enjoy the evening temps! Post up your INs!!!

Great ride. So I meet up with the wife at the store after the ride. As Im leaving the parking lot, my bike starts spewing coolant. I know they run hot but it started spewing at about 225. I got it home but by then it was at 240. Now I know running it that hot can do damage but Im wondering if the damage I did at track back in march has something to do with it. I'll dive deeper in to it next week.

Might be air in the system. Lose hose or bad cap. Check all hoses. Is your fan turning on at 214-218? If the fan isnt running it could be three things..coolant temp sensor, engine temp sensor, or thermostat. 240 isnt that bad, 260 and up is when heads start to warp...My bike hit 260 twice when the thermostat took a shit. no probs...

Did you get a new radiator? Or did you repair your damaged one?

Never replaced. Just repaired. With it pushing coolant out at that temp, air in the system was my first thought. My second thought was that the radiator cap isnt opening to let the coolant expand, but it's a new cap. Unless the neck is out of round still. It was all coming out of the bottom. Was dark so I couldn't really tell.
