I Ride: 06 1000 rr bone stock 01 F4I
Me and Jungle girl are going to ride up to Page AZ this Sunday
Mapquest says 274 miles one way so it will be a long day........ anybody that wants to join in is welcome. Since it will be a long ride were going to leave early say around 7:30 to 8:00. Looks like at $12 per person to see the north rim of the Grand Canyon....


In a month or so we will hit the South Rim of the Grand Canyon

seriously not to threadjack cause I don't do that but do not think of riding down to Kingman and taking the detour to the West Rim of the canyon. Seriously a bad idea on 2 wheels.

I'll jump back in here with a threadjack but I guess since I opened this can of worms it pertains. I am talking mainly about the route to the west rim of the grand canyon that you hit off the road to Kingman. The big billboard sign says "turn left here only 20 miles" It is complete bullshit. 20 miles till you hit the 4X4 dirt road that a KTM will be better suited to than a gixx 1000. Trust me, me and Angie took and used 4 wheel drive to get to the final resting place that is the west rim of the grand canyon. After a 2 hour kidney bleeding ride you finally get there and all looks fucking awesome and you get charged $20 per person to park and look at a hole in the earth. It is on a reservation so no way around it.

Not worth it when you can go on this awesome ride planned and see the north rim or for free see the south rim. OK not free but if you get the national parks pass for the year you see it and mead and whatever else as much as you want. I've been to the south rim and if nobody has never seen the canyon then get on this and see the bitch. It's like looking into mother nature's pussy.

Well, I'm trying to see if I can kick my visitors out early from this weekend to go on this ride.

Where is the meetup spot? I take it the meet time would be 0730 and leaving by 0800? I'd really like to go considering I've never seen the GC.

Oh, and Joe, let me know when we're going to rent a couple of Baja 1000 bikes and we'll go hit that dirt road!

I think meetup spot should be on the 95 / wagonwheel (Henderson... on the way out of town) exit at the gas station. What do ya think?

That is actually a good idea Mat Let's put that on the back burner for the moment and maybe in a month or so we can plan a group ride like that

Ok a meeting spot for the ride is

Iron Skillet out at the petro on the 15 by the speed way. Me and Susan will be there just a little after 7 so we can grab a bite to eat. We will roll out at 8.

I plan on getting gas at St. George and then may be Fredonia or Jacob Lake depends on what it looks like.

ok here is the route I plan to take

Looks like Gas stops in St. George and Fredonia , we may have to roll up to Kanab to find gas I can not find anything on google for a gas station in Fredonia

Got home changed them went to the gym for two hours then when I got home I desided to go for a 10 mile run............................................... .............NOT I went right to bed. I had the best time yesterday, very cool. Great to ride you 954rider and slayer got to do it again
