I Ride: (2) 1984 Matty-Legs (they're SUPER fast!)
So, I've yet been on a group ride. I was wondering a few things:

1. How fast is the adverage speed of riding?- is it by the speed limit or do we open it up?

2. I don't want to slow anybody down, so can I bring up the tail of the group or are there
particular orders in which we ride?

3. Does anyone mind if a newbie (particulcrly me) join in on the ride?- PLEASE be honest, I won't have hurt feelings

4. Do people with cruisers ever join the rides? Does your club mind?

5. Should I become a perfessional football player for the San Diego Chargers?

Thanks for all your answers- they're very much appreciated. Happy Thanksgiving to all who read this!!!

1. The ride is exactly as fast as YOU want to go. You ride your own pace.

2. There is a lead rider and someone who brings up the tail, or rides "sweep". Everyone else falls in betwee according to the pace that THEY want to ride.

3. Hell no...the only way for newbs to improve their riding skills is to ride with expereinced riders. We encourage newbs to ride with us.

4. At least one of our club members owns a cruiser. We definitely skew our rider towards sportbike riders, but I suppose cruisers could join as well.

5. Yes.

I Ride: a jet
the club member with the cruiser, also owns a sportbike

I have to say, I dont enjoy riding my cruiser too much on the sportbike rides for the simple fact that the cruiser isnt a sportbike... its like showing up in a tux at a casual event.. or wearing casual clothes at a formal event, either way it just makes me feel out of place

this pic kinda says it all...

If you show up on a cruiser, trust me you're gonna be riding at your own pace and just catching up at the stopping points. But thats fine if it doesnt bother you

I'll be there the spark plug seal are letting some oil pass thru. but it not a big problem, I'll fix that. it seems tha KAWI went a little thin on those seals, I talk with other guys on a ZZR website, and it happen to many of those guys, even with new seal in place.
I adjusted my pilot screw so I shouldn't run as rich as I were.
