last season, I really enjoyed the Roger DeCoster & Hannah episodes

The long-awaited Season Two of “The Motocross Files” (MXF) finally premiers on Speed, Tuesday, November 28th at 10:30 pm Eastern Standard Time with the story of Tony D. This episode will re-air three more times that week (including Saturday morning) before a new episode featuring Jammin’ Jimmy Weinert airs on Tuesday, December 5th at the same time.

The schedule for the series will be weekly with as many as four airs per week with four original shows that repeat weekly again before three more original shows begin airing weekly and then repeating again. The total schedule goes through the Spring of 2007 with the first part being available at www.speedtv.com.

The new season of MXF will feature Tony DiStefano, Jimmy Weinert, Marty Tripes, Broc Glover, Jeff Ward, Danny LaPorte and the late “First American” of motocross, Jim Pomeroy. Supporting interviews from returning MXF interviewees Keith McCarty, Dave Arnold, Jim Felt, Bill Buchka and Bevo Forti, plus new comments by Roy Turner, Jody Weisel, Mike McAndrews, Jon Rosenstiel, Larry Huffman, Johnny O’Mara, Bob Hannah, Rick Johnson, Ron Lechien, Roger DeCoster, Mitch Payton, Marty Smith, Danny LaPorte, Gary Jones and many more.

“Season Two of ‘The Motocross Files’ is really special for us, because the subjects are really terrific people and the television audience has been so positive about the importance and the quality of the show,” said Todd Huffman, Producer of MXF. “It’s great to have the show back on the air again,” Huffman added.

Lucas Oil Products of Corona, CA has again stepped up with another substantial contribution to supporting MXF on the air with Speed. Lucas is the lead sponsor for the production and will be running new 30-second spots during the airings of MXF.

Troy Lee Designs, one of the original sponsors of season one is returning as well.

The home DVD versions of all 12 episodes will also start to be marketed and released in conjunction with the show’s airings. The home DVDs will include the original Speed episode plus over three hours of additional raw interviews from the main subjects and the mechanics.

When I was 12 years old, I went to a 2-day motocross school at Swan Cycle Park in Texas and Tony DiStefano was the instructor. It cost me $300 (hey that was alot in '82) and I mowed yards and saved up my money so I could go meet one of my heros. The funny part is, I had bought my motocross boots at a garage sale.. they were Tony D boots and when he saw them he was like hey kid those are really cool boots (they were actually all worn out) and after school was over on saturday, he hung around and chatted with me for about a half hour and answered all my questions about his career and winning the motocross des nations.

Yeah its no big deal but when you're 12 years old and one of your sports heros just hangs out to talk to you... its really fuckin cool
