April 7th Zion National park Ride

Ok kiddies this will be a ride up and back to Zion National park , it does cost to get in so bring the monies , will meet up for Breakfast and head out having lunch up on the other end of the park and then ride back

lets see who wants to put more miles on there ride

Hey guys,
I would like to join in and make this ride. I haven't posted here yet so don't know any of ya. I don't have many free weekends because I am always on call (hopefully going away soon) or out offroading in the Jeep. But I have been wanting to take the bike up through the virgin river gorge and zion. So I am planning on tagging along if that is OK.
I have an 04 ZX636 and live up in Logandale so I would catch you on the way up.

this ride sounds like a lot of fun.....I lived here for quite awhile and I havn't made that trip yet. I was actually part of the Nellis club years ago when it first started, and I'm friends with Kevin Smith and Rodger Miller. I have attended a couple of your outtings in 04 and have done some Poker Runs with my old culb and yours back then. But anyways Kevin and Rodger said that the club hasn't changed much and that ya'll are a good bunch of guy/girls to ride wit. I havn't been able to get a hold of my old club so I'm hopeing I might be able to catch this ride with yall. Of course this all is pending approval from the my better half. Oh yeah Kevin says he loves the picks of the old days that he has been seeing posted on the "Look what I found " thread, especially the pic of him singing Karoake.

Not really...it's a well-documented issue with the 2nd gear shift fork. I've gotta take it in to the dealership sometime and get it taken care of.

But now that you mention it...where is your bike?

okay will be meeting up at the Iron Skillet at 8am , just for some gas and go ,kick stands up by 8:30 am have a long ride ahead of us will be stopping in Mosquite for gas top off , please make sure you drink plenty of water the day before and easy on the salt , trust me it makes the body handle the long hall better , and make sure you check your ride for any conditions that could cause a problem . Cant wait to do this ride with you all.

I'll be in Barstow with some friends riding in the dirt but you folks have a great yet safe ride. I have been tryin to plan a ride up through Zions, it's been a few years for me, just keep in mind that when you pass St George and start up the mountain after washington, it's still cold up there.. Don't say I didn't warn ya so have a jacket.

I just did this ride this past Sunday after a Lake Mead ride, spent the night then came back on Monday!! It is such a gorgeous ride once you get out of NV!! The gorge is amazing, as is US 9 going into the park!! Be safe, I won't be able to make it this weekend because I have company in town!!! Catch ya on the next one!!

I will be going and hopefully will have a riding partner if she is up to it. How many miles are we looking at? I have never done this ride and would like to explain to her what to expect. I have road to Cali n back serveral times before no problem, but that is a long straight trip (pretty boaring). Looking forward to some new scenery on this trip. I will be riding my 03 CBR600RR, it Red/Black with a tapeworks kit on it, see you at the Iron Skillet.
