sorry for such a short notice, but i'm going on a long ride this saturday, I'll be leaving I think arround 7:30 am from vegas, going to San Diego then heading to Phoenix, flagstaff, Selligman and back home. I think it's a little over 1k miles. here is a map of the trip. if anybody is interested let me know, but make sure your bike and yourself are in top condition.

Man, I would absolutely LOVE to do this ride, but I have to be at the job Saturday night in support of the DST change. Have fun, be safe, and take pics.

Not to bring you down, but that stretch down the 15 than the 8 is boring as hell! Nothing but straight freeway. I would suggest heading to Mt. Palomar, go through the twisties and hit the 8 around Alpine, CA. From there, there is really no fun way to Phoenix. Arizona has some nice Highways. I would suggest staying off the freeway between Phoenix and Flagstaff. I know I've been to some nice roads in AZ, hoepfully you can find them.

i'm soooo pissed !!!!!....everything was going well, was on my way back between Flagstaff and Kingman about 40 miles away from Kingman, when I run out of gas... ![]() usally arround 160 to 180 miles on my trip odometer I take gas, and I have about 0.5 to 3/4 of gallon left over. I run out of gas at 174 miles, why ?????......it was 1:45 AM, the nearest gas station was about 15 miles away.. I left the bike on the side , close to the guard rail, and start walking, ebout 300 cars and truck passed me by, I walk 5 miles before somebody kind enough stopped and give me a lift.. .... it was a kid that's worjing at the truck wash so i droped me there , when he picked me up it was 5:45... so I buy a plastic container for gas from the Petro gas station then I find a trucker that will give me a lift, but it will be after he as is breakfast.. finaly he finishes and I get back to the bike, pour the 1.5 gal of gas in, try to start...bleuuuuuuuuuuuuu.... battery is dying... ![]() cause I used the flasher for too long when I run out of gas......... I had to push start it, I was "lucky" that where I run out of gas I was going uphill... finally the bike start and then I'm on my way again to Petro gas station to fill her up, then on my way to vegas, I was only 120 miles away from vegas....I lost almost 5 hours......and did 1098 miles.
