Track Day! Mon 6-1-09. MMP plus WSBK event

My original post is over on 702SB but I figured I would drop the info here as well because SCS also has quite a few race fans and track addicts.

Apex Trackday event at Miller Motorsports Park on Monday, June 1, 2009 following the WSBK Race Weekend. My WSBK tickets for the race weekend have been purchased and registration with Apex on 6/01, Group A is confirmed.

ERDA Grandstands with Paddock Pass, ERDAC, Row 10, Seats 1 and 2 (wife and I);
Residence Inn Marriot (SLC Airport) Fri 05/29-06/01. It's a cool place, I always stay there when going to SLC for the purpose of attending a MMP event. Full kitchen in each room, and an indoor pool for relaxing. Also right off the freeway near the Salt Lake City Airport and a straight shot down the freeway to Miller in Tooele. Reasonably priced and during the MMP Freddie Spencer schools, this hotel was the "recommended" place for the riders attending the school.

Kurt (zortness) and Craig (CW AF 03) are also in the ERDA Grandstands for WSBK, and in Group A with Apex. Our buddy bwhip from Idaho (plus another rider from Montana) will also be in ERDA Grandstands and in group A of the Apex trackday. Anyone else plan on going?

Pat, this track is like the lord himself laid down some asphalt and said "welcome, riders". No joke. It's that good. If there is ANY way for you to come, you should. I've done the Full course, the East and the West, but never just the outer perimeter course; word is, it's the cat's meow. And the perimeter course is what Apex will be running on Monday.

Oh, and my understanding about WSBK events is that they are much more fan friendly than MotoGP events (So if Laguna Seca or Indy were on your "to do" list this year, perhaps trying a WSBK event instead?)

WSBK will be THE league to watch in '09. The grid is jam packed with bikes AND talent.
