Don't worry about trailering - we'll all figure something out. I also think most of us may be taking the school

Found out I can't get Sat off work...so I'm screwed..can't go. If I had my own truck or car w/trailer I would just leave hella early on Sun and get up there to the track and meet you all there, but since I don't I'm out.

No way am I going to ride the bike up there, then ride the track all day and then ride home...

Looks like I'll have to wait until we have another local track day to attend. Sucks cuz I wanted to try out Tracktactics...looks like a top notch organization.

Plus, by the time I take and get back on the track, all you guys/girls will be up in lvl 2, so I'll have no one to ride with.

Would that work for you?
We could find a spot for your bike...you would ride back to Vegas with us, in one of the cars/trucks/van/rickshaws.

Let me know...

Wait, I forgot...you'd drive down there, so you'd drive your car back to Vegas...so yeah, we'd just take your bike there and back.

And sure, bring her along.

Yup, I'd just need bike transport there and back and then would follow you guys back and wherever you guys stopped at, then I'd just unload my bike and ride it home from there with the future wife following. :-) So, I'd help with gas for the bike transport.

Yup, just chip in for gas...we usually figure it out by distance/mpg/number of people/bikes on the vehicle.

Found out I'm definitely out now.

My fiance has her son that week, so we have to be home to get him over to his dad's house for the next week.

But it's all good...I'll keep watching postings and see when the next one is. Maybe I can make that.

But I do truly appreciate the help and offer to trailer my bike up for me. Very cool of you guys, as usual!

Well, if I do a trackday here in Vegas, I'm planning on having them both come out to see what it's all about. I know there is one in Nov, so I might be hitting that one up if I have the funds after the honeymoon in Oct.

Kidding.
There's always another way... we just have to get creative. Maybe we can hook up a trailer to the Scion.

Whats the problem? Kelly doesnt want to drive her truck there? How was kelly's bike getting there in the first place? Or was kelly's IN depending on if she didnt have to drive?

Is the problem gas? Or tired of driving? or both? Stop me if I am being to nosy. -=D

If need be, I have no problem helping out with driving and have driven 8+ hours with no problems if people want to switch off on the way there/back, just speak up!

Far as gas goes.. I gave freddy my money to and from for toting my bike to cali and back... I hope everyone else gave their drivers/movers some money too.

I posted in if I didn't have to take my truck, out if I did. Freddy said not to worry about it, that it would be taken care of and that I wouldn't have to drive.

Yesterday, Freddy then tells me to call him later when I get to work (as I don't have a phone right now), I asked him what it was about, he didn't tell me. I asked should I pay for my spot by tonight or something? He said that was a good idea. LUCKILY I DIDN'T! (I feel like he tried to trick me into screwing myself!) I call him and he tells me that we have to take my truck. I already made it clear, that's not happening. I would have been EXTREMELY PISSED OFF if I had paid for a trackday and not went!!!!! Maybe some people can afford to waste money, but not me.

And as far as the gas thing...I'm not about to ask anyone for money, people should just know to help pitch in. The weight of you and your girlfriend and all your stuff as well as everyone else's gear prob weighed more than your bike, so you should have split gas $ between Freddy and myself. Patrick was the only person that offered to put gas in my truck and he wasn't even planning on being in my truck. I understand that Freddy was really putting the pressure on as far as you paying him the full amount (we all heard him). I am not mad at you Arson, whatever, it is what it is. Marcus did buy gas for the bikes and put that in my truck (which was a good amount...), so I'm not saying he didn't help, because he did (of course Freddy tried to steal that as well).

(Oh and on a side note, I was the 3rd person to post in after Freddy and Eric...not that that matters I'm sure.)

I don't want to put the mileage on my truck I already have 13-15,000 miles on it and it's less than a year old! I feel like I shouldn't have to even make an excuse for why I'm not taking my truck, maybe people should give me there excuse why they don't own a truck. Maybe someone should rent a truck and it be their turn to drive, and I'll pitch in gas money.

As you can tell I'm bitter...I was really really looking forward to this trackday, but this whole situation has put a bad taste in my mouth.

Kelly, if the mileage issue is not a deal-breaker... we can make arrangements to ensure that you are compensated (generously) for taking your truck. If you're dead-set against using your truck, then (seriously) no worries. Your participation IS NOT DEPENDENT ON YOU DRIVING YOUR TRUCK.

From what I understand, since Pat can't take his van, we're down to one tow vehicle for seven bikes... and that won't work. We need to work out the logistics of this trip regardless. I'm looking into some options right now.

Ok First things first. My defense.

I never "planned" on riding home with you.

You invited(asked) em and I to ride in your truck on the way home, after the track day was over, to be honest, it almost sounded like you really really wanted us to come with you in your truck..you asked, so we did.

If you feel that some of the money I gave to freddy for gas should go to you then please, lets get this fixed. If everyone can remember what they paid for gas this would be an easy fix. But to be honest, its a little late and i wish this was addressed when everyone was dropped off. Considering I already paid my way. And monies spent. This could have all been done with when we got to freddys house. And now, seeing you are pissed because some people didnt cop out their gas money. When in fact, I did. It really makes me want to make sure this gets resolved and never happens again...

Im not sure about when freddy pressured me to pay him for gas, when, that was the arrangement we discussed. The amounts got a little confusing because pat paid for a couple tanks. And i believe what you saw was me asking freddy what the new amount was..

I feel the biggest problem with all of this is assumption...You asked em and I to ride home with you guys.. why? I though you wanted our company? You say you saw me pay freddy...but then said nothing about it.. I didnt know you wanted more people to help out with gas. It was just em and I and our backpacks, all the other gear was in freddys trailer. All 900+ pounds of it.

I think next time maybe EVERYONE(drivers AND passengers) should communicate about gas arrangements BEFORE and AFTER the event to make sure that all drivers are paid and good to go before everyone leaves.

Its not like I make it a point to not pay people. I paid freddy and marcus without them even having to ask for it the second we arrived to fill up and the second I arrived at the hotel.

Im not about free rides thats for sure. I know all to well about hard work and not having money. If i knew about the way you felt, then i would have asked you, freddy and I to chat and find out how we can resolve this. But it seems a little late now and the damage done. So can we fix this? And if not. How can we make sure this doesnt happen again?

dont want to jump in the middle and look like I know what to do but what we use to do when we drive somewhere in a big group with more than one car is to fill up all the cars with gas just before we leave and when we get to the place or at least very close we fill up all the cars to the max again. At that point you know approximately how much the total cost is going to be. Then add all of it and divide it between everyone and thats the total amount you have to pay. From time to time depending on we just exclude the owner of the vehicle since that person has the wear and tare on the car but that varies from time to time.

However this make it fare for everyone and then it doesnt matter who's riding where since the cost is going to be equally split.

Brilliant idea. Pool the gas, and split the bill. Drivers get discounts. Boom. Bam. Bing.

I'm too exhausted to be deeply offended, but I wasn't planning to even attend that track day. It was extremely short notice. I was under the impression gas had been taken care of. I'm also very certain that my whole 120lbs + camera + backpack did not weigh as much as any bike, trailer, or any man that rode over. I'm also pretty sure you got free photographs out of your first ever track day. I wouldn't have come if I didn't feel invited. If the truck is such an issue, make it clear why in the beginning (Like gas concerns or second vehicle insurance only allows 12k per yr etc).

It's really that simple.

At any rate, I'm sure you guys will have a blast. Hopefully I'll be able to join you under better circumstances and actually ride with you on the track!

Ok so we're at the 10 day mark. Let's plan on getting out of Vegas NO LATER that 11:00 in the morning on Saturday. Anyone that is up late Friday night can sleep on the drive. That gives plenty of time for driving, sleep on the way, and a Denny's dinner before we hit the scratch-and-sniff beds at the Motel 6. Vegas Video will be dining at Chez Magnifique in the ButtonWillow art District. Or not. (Had to do it)

I'll be out from work Friday afternoon as early as possible and will be available to help with pre-departure issues that come up. And I have some new mounts for the GoPro camera so prepare to be caught on *digital* film at the track.......

Ok, so, I have never asked for gas money in my life...that's just uncomfortable. It's just the way I am and where I'm from, people just give it to you because they appreciate the help and it's only fair.

That being said, I also stated in my first post that I was out if I had to take my truck and in if I didn't. I feel that I made it clear, and I don't feel that I should have to explain my reasoning.

I didn't expect gas money from Em at all. I just figured that Marcus, Arson, and I would split gas 3 ways.

I overheard Freddy keep saying, if I'm trailering the bike I get the gas money. Which I guess meant that I don't get any. I don't know.

I had my feelings hurt the other night and so I posted out because I thought I didn't have a way to get my bike down to the trackday due to me not taking my truck. I really really wanted to go to this trackday. I was going to leave my post just stating that that was the reason. Then something happened that made me feel like my trust was betrayed. I flew off the handle, I know and so...

I'd like to apologize to both Freddy and Arson. I don't have a phone right now, so I can't talk to you...I shouldn't have called you out on the forums no matter how angry I was. And, honestly, I wasn't angry at you at all Arson. I know Freddy goes out of his way to make these trackdays happen. I totally appreciate all that he does...which is a lot more than people probably realize.

I'd also like to apologize to Emily. I did not at all want to make you feel like you were a bother, because we LOOOOVE having you around. You are awesome to be around and I wasn't expecting anything from you, we were so glad that you came--whether you take pictures or not--you are always welcome to join us. We all go through hard times, and friends have to help each other out, and seriously at no time did anyone expect you to pay for anything...especially me.

....And yes...I know you all are thinking it...I'm PMS-ing.

From what I understand, since Pat can't take his van, we're down to one tow vehicle for seven bikes... and that won't work. We need to work out the logistics of this trip regardless. I'm looking into some options right now.
Let's talk numbers...
